Unbelievable story

#1 Postby sweetpea » Thu Feb 16, 2006 6:40 pm

I can't believe that the firefighters actually stood and watched this garage burn and didn't help.

That's the city/town where Garrett (wx247) resides!

Wonder why the Monett RFD firefighters just don't take up collections in buckets at checkpoints like other VFD's do?

That poor man and said he was not even informed about the dues policy!

Man, I'd be livid, too!

Would they have done that if someone was stuck in the building and could die? Seems that way to me! :grr:

The author of the famous book Fahrenheit 451. Have you read it, Skywatch_NC?

Now that you mention it...that title does sound familiar. I also looked it up at Google and one movie based on the book was made as far back as 1966.

Do you or anyone else know what it's about? Then you'll get why I mentioned Ray Bradbury. I've read the book, by the way.

No, I haven't read it. Currently reading one called "Isaac's Storm" about the life of wx forecaster Isaac Monroe Cline during the time of the Great Galveston Hurricane of 1900.

Sorry for going off-topic...okay back on topic. :)
