I also feel kind of cheated. We received 10" in my locale but nearly all of it fell while it was dark outside, only 5" accumulated on the roads, and it was nearly all gone within 3 days.
All I have left now is a 2 1/2 foot (in diameter) snow ball strategically located on the north side of our house.
Is anything else on the horizon? The short answer for the MidAtlantic (New England) region is no (most likely no); although, a trough will be in place over the northeastern U.S. for much of the next two weeks. And with the various indices fairly friendly ... who knows.
While the last storm was hinted at in the ECMWF 7 days out, it didn't begin to take shape until 4 days out when the GFS took the storm and ran with it.
