Hurricane Ophelia

#1 Postby brunota2003 » Wed Feb 22, 2006 11:14 pm

Ok, I was just watching Channel 12 News, with Skip Waters as weatherman of course (eastern nc news), and they had a report on tonight about the clean up effort of Ophelia, yes, OPHELIA, 6 months and a few days after she hit, one of the food places on the coast is finally reopening...correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it was called the Green Turtle or something like that, and there are still quite a few businesses here that havent opened, from a "Weak" Category 1 Hurricane. So, prayer request here, as you are praying for the people of Florida and the MGC, please include Eastern NC into your recovery prayers...thank you, and remember that we are still on our knees here in NC from Ophelia, over 5 months after she hit, and this is from a "mere" Cat 1...I know we didnt get hammered or slammed or wiped off the face of the earth, but we are still humans and we did get affected here to.
Thanks,
Brunota2003 (Timmy) :)
