Hey all.

Joshua I hope the rain you get actually sinks into the ground and does not just run off, cause I know you people on that side can really really use it.

Hope you get your puter black opal, I would go nuts without mine.

Looks like florida is in for a rather boring weather pattern for the next week...grrrrr I wish winter would just make it's final bow and spring would bring on some T'storms. (sorry if some of you are still waiting for your winter storms)

I hope everyone is haveing a GREAT day!!! :D

Here in Houston it is partly sunny with a temp of 70f!!! :) Not gonna last I'm afraid though since we are supposed to be all but floating by Friday thanks to the California storm. I just hope it gives all our AZ friends a much needed SOAKING before it comes our way!!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I will be out for most of the evening since I have bell choir and choir parctice this evening.

Dennis, are you being a good boy and relaxing and patting the nurse(Michelle) properly? Glad to know you are doing better, but I know how that foot pain can be!! Stay relaxed and keep it up! :o

Later all, when I have more time and can ramble!

Hello all

It was supposed to be sunny today, but it's been mostly cloudy. I've seen the sun a few times, but we need a lot more sun than that to dry up my swampy yard! But then again, what's the point? Days of rain return later this week. I love the rain but I'd like enough time between systems to dry out my yard. I need to get out there and take care of some things. Oh well, I'm sure a point will come when I'm complaining about it being too dry.

pojo...I can't imagine it being that cold! Everyone around here whines when it gets below freezing. (or slightly higher) Of course I've been told that our cold here feels colder than the same temperature up north because ours isn't a dry cold.

Thanks for the concern Amanzi and Stephanie....

My cousin lives in Houston...about 90 miles from here. Unfortunately, I don't see her as often as I'd like. We were very close growing up though. Her parents and most of her family live closer to me so there aren't many pop-in visits but she does come visit her family fairly often. I get to see her during some of those visits. She went to Lake Charles today with my aunt (her mom) to sign the papers. Sadly, we don't really know what to say to her right now. She is SO EMOTIONAL. When someone even mentions her husband's name, she starts weeping and he hasn't even left yet. :(

Rain dancing, incest being lit all over the place, and Al Qaida rearing its ugly head (pardon..."mouth") again...what a FUN place to post and visit! :D

Just when I want the latest headlines, the TV gets taken over by the kids (a WHOLE evening of "Roswell, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc., etc...), while studentmom04 wrestles with Financial Management, Qualitative Methods, and all that rot that I can't understand for the life of me (that's OK...she is LOST in Poli-Sci, History, Speech, languages, etc...so we're even!) She is researching Disney's holdings and revenues for one of her classes; spreadsheets all over me floor, and the poogle don't know what to make of 'em...?

MORE good news...she needs to "hog" the PC tonight for her homework, so I bid you all a fair adieu, mes amis!

Good Evening Friends!

Karan - all of this dancing may get me in shape for my trip to Mexico next month!! I'm looking forward to it, but with everything that's been going on lately, today I started to feel scared. :? :(

David - maybe you should send your avator to your former employer! That was the first thing I thought of after I got your e-mail. That'll be alittle bit of a pay-back!

Marshall - only 3 more Mondays to go huh?? Maybe you should call out the rest of the week...

Well, the dog show is on. I laughed at everyone's posts on my topic regarding it. My one cat, Gipper, I think is the cutest in the world. I always say to him while the show is on that he's going to win "Best in Cute"!

I hope everyone has a great evening!

Good evening, all! I haven't been on in a night or two, as, I think that
I am still getting over the flu in my own lazy way! Just wanted to stop
in and huddle by the stove and share a laugh or two with those of you
that are congregated here. I brought some more KKs, and,
thought I'd replenish the hot chocolate supply! :22:
I hope everyone has a good
evening - gotta run! ~Annette

Well, tonight windchills are expected to be between -20*F and -30*F...that means a windchill advisory is up for the night and into the morning. It's going to be fun walking to my 8am class! Because of the way that UWGB is set up, all I need to do is to walk to the University Union and then I can walk underground via the concourses! Yes I did mean underground!!! So, I only have to deal with the freezing wind chills for about 5 minutes (that's how long it takes for me to walk from my apartment to the Union) then I can stay warm by walking underground. I'll throw a few logs on the fire to help us stay warm (and for those of you shivering because of what I am talking about  :? )

WIND CHILL ADVISORY FOR LATE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING UNTIL 10:00PM CST

Umph!! HUh? Oh, thank goodness I wasn't dreaming!!! I'll take a chocolate iced please. :D I must have fallen asleep in the rocker. :o Some hot chocolate will top this off right nicely. You people sure do know how to keep a helpless food addict happy!!

Pojo, I brought in 5 more logs after reading your post!!! It is inhuman for people to have to experience that much cold!! 9" of snow on the ground and below zero temps just aren't my cup of tea!! I may need to move to S Florida if we have another arctic blast here this winter! Oh, I guess i better put one more on the fire. I'll stack the rest over in the corner.

Karan, have I been sending you only dirty :o  j/k and inspiring emails or has nothing been getting through? :?: You know I think I'll try some of the Earl Gray. I need to relax a little.

Man I never knew what a refuge work was from work!!! I am keeping busy doing things that need to be done, much less dealing with honeydo's!! It beats doing nothing at all though. Maybe not so much physical labor tomorrow. We did the front brakes on the wife's car today.

Hey ladies I think the dance is working!! They are getting good rains in CA and they are moving east into AZ. Want me to join in?? Wait, wasn't there an earthquake in Mexico last time I tried this? :shocked!: OMG Karan, you forgot the blinds again??? You EXHIBITIONIST!! :P :shocked!:

Well for tonight, at least at the PBS, it is good night and sweet dreams.

Hello to all here at the Stove

The temperatures here is currently a chilly 44 degrees. It is forecast to go to a few more, then up to the upper 60s later today.

Not much else to report, aside from it seeming like I was offline for more than 6 or 7 hours when I logged on in the 30 to 45 minutes.

See everyone around. Bye for now. :D

Good evening everyone. It was a wet day here in southern California. My grand total for today was 0.60". It mainly rained on instead of off until the sun went down, then it was showery up until now - as of now, I don't hear it raining. More (and heavier) rain is predicted for late tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night.

Hope you all had a good Tuesday. I had a not-so-good one. I had some rough family issues to deal with that did not go over so well, unfortunately. :( Now I have to get up at 7:30 a.m. and go to college to put in my lab class hours for the week, since I didn't get them done today.

Therefore, I must retire for the night now, so I'll c y'all later. Have a nice night, and here's a log for the fire. Joshua

Good morning everyone. I guess I should add a log or two onto the fire since everyone else seems to be away.

Joshua...sorry about your family concerns. I am sure they will work out :).

Streetsoldier...I am going to be down in your neck of the woods today. I am heading to Poplar Bluff!

Everyone else...have a great day and keep on smilin'!

Morning! Another day...another opportunity to sleep a little longer than I had to! Wind chills are way below zero with 25-40 mph winds up here on the hills. Hard to believe that this is the very smae lake we swim in the summertime! The sun is out and only 6 degrees with passing snow showers and nasty winds at times. We also have a wind advisory out for over 40mph winds. I gotta run out to my garage and bring in more wood and get another fire going. I will be back shortly with some hot tea as well.
