You GOT it...........we got the SHAFT ONCE again, still and YET  I'm NOW saying we will go 365+ DAYS without moisture. Once again I ask, WHY EVEN BOTHER with forecasting a system for Arizona, we get screwed EVERY single time, why not WAIT until SOMETHING actually HAPPENS (as IF it will EVER rain this friggin' year)?? I don't understand.......

As some one that has not had a good soaking rain since early November, I feel your pain. Heck, I even get excited with heavy fog and dew now.

Honestly, I truly cannot remember, I know Phoenix is now at 135 days and counting. I had originally said we would not receive ANY moisture for 200 days........I have now changed my mind and an going with 365 days until the moisture falls, whatever THAT is (moisture).

A heavy fog would be nice here as well. Tucson wound up the Met. Winter with 0.01in of rain (the same for November through February) while I wound up with 0.37in for the same two periods. No snow at all on the Huachucas.

I'll be honest with you. Your posts are getting annoying. The "poor me" thing is old.(sarcastic) :)

If you don't like the weather, move. :)

The only people I know who complain about it are the people who are interested in it. (I complain too...)

Dustman(formerly snowman), be careful what you wish for. It seems to me that whenever we have a prolonged dry spell here, it is resolved by flooding rains (as in Hurricane Floyd). The end of your dry spell will come eventually, but it may not be pleasant.

You live in Arizona. Enough already.

That is the price you pay for living far enough south that the storm track can miss you completely for a LONG time. And Arizona also lies in the rain shadow of the Southern California mountains.

Its a desert.

You play with fire and you're gonna get burned.

Its a bone dry winter. Even if you got an inch of rain tomorrow... it would not do much to change the drought situation. So enjoy the sunshine. 8-) This winter is shot... start hoping for the monsoon.

Jesus......."HOW MANY TIMES MUST I TELL YOU?" I DO NOT LIVE IN THE DESERT..........Open your EYES and READ and LISTEN, "One more time........repeat after me, "Dennis does NOT live in the desert, Dennis does not live in the desert, Dennis does not live in the desert!"

Got it????

Besides, if I remember CORRECTLY, didn't you complain JUST as MUCH last winter when you too went through a DROUGHT? Naaaaaaa

Another thing, my average snowfall here in town is 132".......guess that's a lot of snow for the desert huh?

Also, check your email, I sent you PROOF that I live in snow country!

Come to think of it, we see lots of complaints when people don't get the snowstorm they want back east or the wet weather they want in Seattle or too much of this or that wherever they may live. I suspect that the main reason that they don't want to see us comment about the drought down here is because it's not the I-95 Corridor or the FL/Gulf Coast region. But I have news for everyone, the drought here affects the price of produce back there-especially since it's extending into Mexico as well where most of the lettuce and tomatoes for people in Seattle comes from.
However, we could solve this situation about the posts by just not posting
period.

WHAT?!?! Not post at ALL  No come Steve, play nice

i also think people have this sterotype that all AZ is desert, its not. Look at the Grand Canyon,Flagstaff, and of course the Pine Tops. Its kind of like people who think NV is flat, when really it is the most Mountainous state in the US.

Ive been to Flagstaff a few years ago and it was beatiful! I also saw the Grand Canyon when it had some snow, it was cool.

I hope you guys get some moisture soon!

Mountainous-yes there are a lot of misconceptions about the West one also being that OR and WA are wet states when 2/3rds of both are High Desert. Of course, we can have any number of threads and pages about how strong Katrina's winds were in NOLA but musn't have too many posts about what's happening (or not happening) out in the West.

not to hijack, but I have noticed this also on TWC, its rare that they have one of their own reporters anywhere west of the mississippi river. They also seem to forget about the inner-mountain west. Last winter (04/05) Reno had a all-time record storm (2 3 ft+ storm within a week) it crippled the city, the most we got was a 10 second blurb.
