#1 Postby sweetpea » Wed Mar 01, 2006 1:37 pm

We just got him last night. He is a pom/terrier mix that will be about 6lbs. He is 8 weeks old. He is still nameless because we can't seem to come up with a name for this face. :D

Call him button because he is cute as a button. Does he have one of those high pitched yips for a bark?

Thanks guys. I haven't heard a peep out of him. I was just playing with him trying to get him to growl. Hubby wants to call him Rocco. I'm not buying that. He is half rat terrier.

Sweet Pea, just you wait. My rat terrier is a scruffy little guy. He doesn't take bull from anyone. He has stood his ground with everything from a boxer, bird dog and lab. He is soooooo loveable though - Is smarter than any dog I've ever had - Does all kinds of tricks. Remember this little guy needs a big guy name. I do like the name BuBu.

Awww how sweet. BTW none of my yippers I have now barked much at first. Give him time, and he will be barking at everything all to soon. How about Boomer for a name. My boy dogs name is Buddy, but we used to have a Boomer. I also like Rocco. Good luck and have fun with him.

Boomer! as in loud booming thunder!

Flash! as in flashing lightning (plus those terriers are quick little critters!)

See the weather theme here?

WOW! You guys have my head spinning with these names. I love them. Hubby just got home, I wrote them all down. I will go through the list with them. This little guy has had me laughing all day. We had to put our last one down a little over a year ago, we finally felt we were ready for another one. He is so much fun. I did have him growling a little while ago, when we were playing with one of his toys.

I think we have finally settled on Monty. That is one of my favorite poker games. It is fun to play, addicting and aggravating. Rascal is still second on our list. But every time we say Monty he looks at us. Rascal he pays us no mind. This morning Ihave on big fuzzy slipper socks and he is cahsing me around trying to get my socks. they do kind of resemble one of is toys. I wish I had that much energy in the morning.

Great name. Monty fits that face. My childhood dogs name was Rascal. He was a big dog, so that just doesn't fit to me. LOL at the morning thing. He probably was awake all night waiting for someone to play with, and then when you got up it was on, hi mommy hi mommy, wanna play wanna play.

Puppies are soooo much fun. I had a rat terrier before. Skippy was his name and he had a barbie doll foot fetish. All my daughters barbies had chewed feet!

Monty is a great name. Trust me, your little terrier thinks he is a VERY BIG DOG. Mine didn't chew for very long at all. Beware of the ATTITUDE. All terriers have an attitude!!!
