107 Year Old Record Broken
A record that has stood since records have been kept was broken yesterday. The record high of 93 for March 1st broke the old mark of 89 set back in 1899. The average high this time of the year in Dallas/Fort Worth is 65 degrees. The 93-degree high is our average high for mid June here. In contrast our high today is expected to be in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s still about 5 degree above normal.

I don't know...that Feb. was cold everywhere east of the rockies (not just the midwest). During that Feb. Galveston bay had some ice form on it, and ice flows were reported in the northern Gulf. Also, snow fell as far south as Fort Myers, Fl during that Feb. It is just weird to see that a month (or less)later it was hot.
