If the current movement keeps up, I say we may very well have to for some precipitation, even though it is not tropical. Precipitation will very likely be light, if at all.

I understand that some are facinated about this area as time has gone by for some weeks without anything exciting to track in the Atlantic and being hungry to see something spin causes the excitement. :)

Actually, I'm not excited... I'm just very interested (and have high stress after 2005). After last year, I'm sure to be a blob watcher in 2006.

How true...

I will be on a cruise in that area in about 10 days...I just hope that there is NOTHING there when I am. All it takes is a small wave or disturbance to get large waves and winds when on the open ocean. I had to cruise through the remnants of Ivan as it was curving back into FL in 2004. That was not a good experience. Though it was not classified as a TD or TS when we intercepted the remnants; we still had strong winds, 15+ foot seas and rain. Was not fun.

Im going on a cruise over fall break in the carribean...sounds pretty risky, especially after wilma last year...I hope we have a hurricane go right around us while were on land so it whippes up a good swell to go surfing on
