Some GOM Buoy Reports => Warm SSTs

It's March 3rd and check it out :eek:

Buoy 42039 (about 100 miles SW of FL panhandle)=> 70F
Buoy 42046 (about 150 miles W of Tampa Bay) => 67F
Buoy 42003 (about 300 miles W of SW FL, loop current) => 79F

Get ready for another ride folks :eek:

Usually the SSTs are in the mid 60s in much of the nortern GOM but we are seeing some 70s already showing up. In a couple of months we will see 80s across much of the GOM. The loop current is a bit warm at nearly 80F :eek:

I don't like what I am seeing with the SST's. If we start to see lower than normal pressures, well, I don't even wnat to think about it!!!
