#1 Postby skywarn » Mon Mar 06, 2006 10:11 pm

For any intersted members who reside in the Greater New Orleans area or beyond this Thursday,March 9th at 7:00 p.m the East Jefferson Levee Board and the Corp Of Engineers will hold a rare joint meeting to inform the public about the new projects for this hurricane season and beyond. The meeting is designed for residents to hear Levee & Corp officials explain the work they are doing not only in East Jefferson but elsewhere. The public will also be allowed to question Levee Board officials and Corp representatives. It will be held at the East Bank Regional Library ,4747 West Napoleon Ave in Metairie.

Believe me I wish I didn't have parent-teacher conferences, b/c I'd sure be there. Anyone who goes, I'd appreciate them posting what was exchanged--sadly I can't get anything about it in the local broadcasts--perhaps WWL will have something about it. I'll listen in when I get home.

Naw... it wasn't "All" his faul... only the blatant crocodile tears over a lie on national TV that was a disgrace, and the decision NOT to let the pump operators remain with firefighters and law enforcement.
