The warning map shows 7 tornadoes...dunno if that reprsents 7 counties or 7 possible tornadoes...

They're coming and going by the minute, it is hard to keep up with!

So far today, we have had 6 tornadoes (one of those listed in their chart probably was a second report of the same one, and one is listed in the winds but the damage probably means it was a tornado).

7 counties. Probably 2 to 4 tornadic cells, as the tornado warnings keep changing with the same cells.

The storm near Linwood may become even more severe.

Also a report of 1.5" hail in Iola.

Would not be surprised if a tornado warning is issued for Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties.

Agreed. I'd throw a tornado warning now for southern Leavenworth County, Wyandotte County and northern Johnson County. The northern suburbs could be in for a monster...seems like it should just miss downtown.

I dont like it when you get embedded rotation in tightly grouped cells :( bad news man it catches a lot of folks off guard

Don't see anything yet in Oklahoma, but conditions are definitely favorable for instant development...

That southern most cell in Kansas started about 15 miles due west of my house...its not producing a tornado...its getting warm here though we're in the lower 80s right now...

I was right... Tornado warning for Johnson (KS), Wyandotte (KS), and Platte (MO) counties.

Hopefully it doesn't touch down in an urban area!!!

Clay County should also be in the tornado warning, and northwestern Jackson?

I'm sorry dude but you keep making these extreme statements and now I'm gonna have to call you on it. It's just now warm enough to overcome the capping inversion assuming anything gets started. I think we'll see some action today, I hope we do, but "instant" developement? Sorry but we're still 2hrs away from moderate instability over the bulk of oklahoma...as temps rise instability will build but we're not there yet...if you are going to make a statement point me to something showing that "instant developement" is favorable...

I know that E2.00 is estimated and M is measured, but what is U2.00? Anyway, there is a report of that coming in from that cell now approaching northern KC, the same cell that just triggered the TOR warning for that area.
