Major tornado also reported on I-70 between Mileposts 90 and 100.

Me too. It's 1/2 mile wide and likely at least capable of F3 damage based on the descriptions. We can only pray for those poor folks.

I hope you're right but as much as I'd like to think you are, I think your wrong...having grown up in Oklahoma many folks dont have basements especially on homes built after 1965...

That population is sort of bogus. It only represents the locals, but doesn't count the a majority of the students at the University of Missouri.

Grrr. 2" hail coming from cells moving into the southern KC 'burbs......at least according to the storm track information.

That's the one thing I don't like about this setup - the radar locations. I'm really not sure when to drop EAX and move to LSX! We're kind of in the middle right now . . .

AT 444 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM
SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO 16
MILES WEST OF JAMESTOWN...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH. THIS TORNADO
HAS CAUSED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE IN SEDALIA.
