IMO, that should be a Tornado Watch, not a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

Just checking in fast from chicago. We were ok but those storms sure came through with a roar over here by midway! WHEW what a ride! No damage here but an there was significate damage to some buildings right by my cousin in bridgeview.. her's is ok though. Seems another apartment building lost its roof and there's quite a bit of debris from several other buildings that were damaged. 100 peeps were evacuated from the area and 6 garages were flattened. They say on the local news it was caused by a microburst. A few people were sent to hospital with minor injuries and released. Really lucky considering the area is heavily populated.

Alright I have decided to change the name of this topic, and now we will use it to discuss the aftermath of this historic outbreak, quite possibly the biggest March tornado outbreak on record (not quite too sure, havent researched it a lot). But with 114 reports in, it really makes you wonder if it is the biggest. Anyway, this topic will now be used to discuss the f-strength of the tornadoes, deaths and stuff of that nature. So if you hear anything about that, post it here. Thanks.

I would expect the actual number of confirmed tornadoes to be less than half of the 114 reports on the SPC page. This is mainly due to the fact that many of the tornadoes were of a LONG-tracked nature, and thus were likely reported multiple times as separate tornadoes, when in fact 'they' were just 'it.'

I've counted about 40 actual tornadoes yesterday, assuming close, in line reports were indeed the same tornado, not multiple twisters.

Since Thursday, there have been at least 60 tornadoes.

So far, only the 5 tornadoes on Thursday plus an F3 on Saturday night that killed 2.

Talk about a lot going on in the past few days. I'm just now getting some of the rain and what is left of the weather that hit yesterday. Looks like I may get one nice thunderstorm but the rest of the storms look more likely to hit the Rochester area. (where I was born and raised) I know that Rochester got a bigger thunder storm this morning, but i don't know how bad (or not) it was.

The Sevier F0 tornado is a new one.

The SPC says there could have been as many as 138 tornadoes in this outbreak. http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/torn/mont ... stats.html

* FATALITIES: 2 KNOWN ON THIS SEGMENT OF THE STORM. 2 FATALITIES WERE
RESIDENTS OF A MOBILE HOME WHO TRIED TO FLEE SAID
RESIDENCE...BUT UPON DOING SO GOT IN THEIR CAR.
THE TORNADO PICKED UP THE CAR AND THREW IT INTO A
