At first I thought John/Jospehine had just returned and this was a new topic. Now I see it's older.

Killing him doesnt bring her back.

Thats my point...She's not coming back....Yet he gets to wake up each day...Thats not fair to the family...Death is to quick and easy for him...But it could not come quick enough to the family....I'm thinking of the victim not him...I know if it would of been my kid knowing what he did to this little girl I would have done anything to get my hands on him even if it ment my life...

Do you have kids?

What if it was your kid?

Everybreath he takes is one more then this little kid will ever take...

Personally I say tie him up bury him up to his neck next to a big ant hill. JMO

Then what? Wait for the next predator to strike and kill his next victim? Wait for the next Amber Alert and the next body to be found, posed spread-eagled on a hillside somewhere? Wait for the next display of public outrage?

Why not find out first what drives them to perpetrate acts of sexual violence against kids (whether the child is killed or not) and then find ways to recognize and eliminate that drive in the next to-be-predator?

And why the heck is everyone only outraged when a child is killed? No one gets all up in arms about those who suffer from months or years of molestation and exploitation. What about all the child pornography on the net? It's not like a magazine or video that can just be burned or ripped up, in the hopes that there aren't copies. Images are downloaded and emailed by pedophiles on a daily basis. And as long as the demand is there, so will be the supply. It's a neverending stream of vile filth.

In all due respect finding what drives them will never happen ...Most of them are just sick freaks...Most like this freak this isn't the first time he has tried this...Outraged when A child is killed....? What was that .... Of corse child stuff is bad...Kind of confused on your statement really...

Not sure what was confusing about my statement.

I was asking why people are only outraged when a child is killed, but not when a child is molested or exploited.

Where did I lose you?

Okay, so I agree with you. They're sick. When people are sick physically, we try to find out what's wrong and treat the illness. Why is this any different?

I think people are outraged when a child is molested or exploited...But they are still alive...When one is killed of coarse it brings it to a whole new level...Saying that I would still act the same in both cases if it was my kid...I would kill them...As far as treatment for molesters it doesn't work...If you look at most of the recent cases most of the cases are from repeat offenders that should have IMO have never been released in the first place...For some reason when it involves a small child it just really gets my blood boiling...I hope you understand I'm not arguing with you...Just don't think people that commit such a crime should be able to live...

That's true too, and something else that needs to be looked at carefully in regards to the criminal justice system. I never said they shouldn't be punished. :)

We have a huge case around here.... Steven Avery/Brendan Dassey (16 year old nephew) vs. the family of Teresa Halbach. Teresa was lured by Avery, Sexually Assualted, Shot several times and then mutilated (I might add also burned to smitherines) by Avery/Dassey.... Several media outlets (Green Bay, Milwaukee, Madison) are all covering the case. Avery was released in 2003 thanks to DNA evidence that no longer linked him to a crime. (He served 18 years in Prison and is headed back there hopefully for life). Because of this hanus crime, Wisconsin is on the verge of trying to re-instate Death Penalty.

Appleton Post Crescent has a full history in this case... http://www.postcrescent.com/apps/pbcs.d ... gory=theme click on Missing: Teresa Halbach

I'm glad that there is DNA testing that can tell with certainty that we've got the right offender in these cases.

IF the person's DNA is tested positive then I say an eye for an eye...

I agree. I hate the fact that lethal injection is now the death penalty too... that is WAY too nice.
