The cold AC blowing off to my right and the annoying chatter of "The Office" on NBC because I just got home from a sushi dinner and turned on NBC in anticipation of ER.

Ugh! I can't stand ringing in my ears. But what's worse than that is pulsatile tinnitis -- you hear the whooshing of blood in your ear because of the location of an artery near your eardrum. I get it every once in a while. It's like having a stethoscope shoved in your ear canal and you can't get it out. You just keep hearing your pulse...over and over and over and over. And it makes it almost impossible to get to sleep.

OK...ER time!

It's fairly quiet now. The kids have have the living room tv tuned to nickelodeon but it's not real loud. I can hear the refrigerator running in the kitchen and the fans in the two computers. My fingers on the keyboard are the loudest thing going right now.

It's mostly quiet, other than the hum of the hard drive and a TV with the news on in another room. I like it quiet.

Ahhhhhh, quiet. Kids are still in bed. The only thing I hear now is birds chirping outside, and the relentless hum of cars, and trucks on I-4.

Right now, I'm listening to my son and his friend destroying Rebel Scum in the new Star Wars PC Game Empire at War.

Since my girls are watching the Wiggles I am listening to them singing at the moment. And I can hear the wind blow from the bay windows facing the back yard.
