No kidding. I mean... we CAN'T predict things like that or we'd be RICH.

Threads like this are as bad as nighttime broadcast TV.

Well... a system isn't gonna form over the Missouri River... it has to hit someone along the Gulf Coast...

Here are some psychic predictions for Hurricane season 2006 from various links on the web.
1. Record year for the Atlantic. Northern and southern California. Another hit on Louisiana.
2. The first storm will hit around Brownsville Texas in mid May. It will be a cat 2 hurricane. Texas will be hit by three tropical storms and one hurricane. Florida will be hit five times. Three major hurricanes and two tropical storms. Lousiana will be hit by two tropical storms. Virginia will be hit by a major cat 3 hurricane. Last but not least NYC will be hit by a cat 3-4 and damage will be done to the Statue of Liberty. (Heaven help us if #2 season prediction pans out)
3. A Cat 5 direct hit on Miami in August.
4. Three hurricanes in rapid succession to strike in the fall the areas of Bahamas, Mexico, Florida and the Carolinas.
SORRY COULDN'T FIND ONE PREDICTION FOR NEBRASKA.

I think it would be more then that! We got hit with Katrina up here in Maine and we had some flooding and wind damage, and knocked out power to a bunch of places here in Maine!

I'm afraid of a category 5 hurricane coming in off of Lake Erie when I'm in Erie over the summer...and God I hope one doesn't hit Central PA after that! :( :( :(

actually a system with that track up to Nebraska could cause a tornado outbreak as it adds additional energy to the atmosphere that is already being energized by the summer-time sun....

Seriously, severe weather could result with the remnant energy.

A little of topic but: that 1900 storm looked insane. It was STILL a hurricane all the way to near Dallas! I can't even imagine the damage it would cause today!
