Well, I've gotten some light sprinkles so far but nothing measurable. I'm hearing thunder and it's dark outside but the storms aren't quite reaching me. :(

That sure is a persistent storm to the west of Beaumont. Doppler radar estimates show a small area of 7" of rain.

Here's some estimated storm totals for portions of Tx/La.

Notice me...part of that area by the Beaumont dot with NADA! :(

Some of you in Louisiana finally got some much needed rain...Congrats! :)

2.40" inches of rain at one of the local tv stations here in Lafayette and its still raining there! I've received 1.10" in my rain gauge on the southside of Lafayette. The rain gods were surly smiling down upon Lafayette today.

We're now up to 1.84" at the high school and it's still coming down, rather hard too. The local TV station has had 2.67".

We got over 2 inches of rain. A stormcell is sitting over the top of Mont Belvieu - I'm about 3 miles south. Looks like we might get more.

Kelly I hope you get your rain!!!!!! I got mine.

I thought the rain was about over but the radar shows storms firing just to our west and south, bring it on!

ticka...I got .10 in my rain gauge and local news reporting .02 for Beaumont. So, at least we got some sprinkles but nothing like what you got. I kept thinking the storms might reach us because they were just to our northwest but those particular storms just kinda sat there and poured over the same areas. Moss Hill got 8-9 inches!!

We have a slight chance every day this week so maybe we'll get some more here. And hopefully you too.

Did you guys in Louisiana get enough to last you a few days? Every time I looked at radar, most of the western side of La. that was on my radar was getting light to heavy rain.

Well we definately received enough rain to hold us for a few days, but of course we all need more because of the huge rainfall deficits we have for the year. Most of western LA received little or no rain today so we were rather lucky.

And the rain continues...

After receiving 2.25" yesterday, we are now having a heavy thunderstorm with lots of lightning. Looks like we'll pick up up to another inch with this storm. I knew when it started to rain that it wouldn't want to stop!

Congrats PTrackerLA and bfez...but please keep praying for rain for us over here. I only got .10" yesterday and that didn't help much.
