The last kid moved out yesterday. So now I am officially an empty-nester. It's just me, my husband, and the puppy. It feels WEIRD.

The others havent come back home yet. Maybe the big hint is that we change all the locks every time one leaves. They always seem to find out what the phone number is....

and by weird, i mean really quiet. no more waiting up until the kids get home so you can lock up the house for the night and go to bed. no more Ozzy on the stereo (and i was beginning to learn all the words to the songs!!!). just quiet!

The Father's Day card I gave my dad last year said:

Front: Dad, I don't just miss the hot dogs at the ball game, or the movies on rainy Saturday afternoons, or teaching me to ride a bike...

Inside: It was the way you paid for the hot dogs and the movies and the bike. That's something I really miss.

Happy Father's Day to the greatest dad in the world!

Of course it was just a joke, but I thought the card was funny. I still spend plenty of time with my dad. He's awesome!! :D

And enjoy the quiet, Alicia. My parents get frequent visits from us kids, so it doesn't stay quiet too long. But they wouldn't have it any other way and I wouldn't either. I love hanging out at my parent's house. Funny I didn't feel that way when I lived there though. lol
