What Are You Doing ?
When you are not working or on the internet, Storm2k, etc; what hobbies or sports or other thing occupies your time. This should be something pleasant that you do that you enjoy.
So you enjoy reading, listening to good music, golf, baking, crafts? We have little time for extras, but we can slip one enjoyment into our lives besides work and the computer.
Me... I enjoy doing new decorating ideas in my house. Even if one project takes me a week or months, it is fun doing. Then I go onto another.

In the summer, if I'm not storm watching, I'm out cross country biking. I can do 50 kms in one day now. I also do a lot of camping, and my family goes on road trips pretty much monthly. I also collect and restore outdoor warning sirens as a hobby, and I am busy installing a fire alarm system in my upstairs. I also draw maps for fun, and write short stories.
If I'm not doing any of those, I'm out with friends (trying to soak up as much freedom as I can until school is done with)(eww adulthood!)

Theres a life outside of storm2k and the internet?

Seriously in the summer I like being outside of it isnt too hot. I live next to a racetrack so occasionaly I walk on over and watch a race. During the cooler months im inside a lot more and tend to spend more time watching TV or reading a good book. And of course I love a good meal any time of year!

I forgot: Reading too. I've been riding the bus to work which gives me 45 minutes each way. I'm plowing through The Growth of Western Civilization, which, even at 900 pages is impossibly broad and lacking in details, but still fascinating. I see a lot of parallels between the enlightened despots and my boss. I think that I'm living in the wrong age. I think that living in the late 18th century would have been amazing.

Me, too -- that's why I think I won't be returning to my long-time teaching position in Ft. Lauderdale! [See my 3/26 posting in "Sittin' round the Pot Belly Stove"....]
P.S.I've always been fascinated by life in the late 1800s and early 1900s. I often wish could "materialize" (as in my fave novel Time and Again) into that era.
