The faster, the better. Broadband, hands down.

Why do you like DSL better?

I'm just wondering because I've had cable for several years now, since it was first available. DSL was never available. When they repaired all the phone lines after Rita, they upgraded to DSL lines here and now it's available. I pay $45/month for RoadRunner cable but the phone company is offering $20/mo. for high-speed DSL or whatever it's called (supposed to be the fast DSL) for one year and then it goes to $35/month. Also, if I send in a copy of my final cable bill, they will credit me $60 to get the first 3 months of it free. Seems silly to pass up if it's just as good, but I am spoiled to my super-fast cable and wouldn't really want a noticeable decrease in speed.

It seems much faster than my cable at home. Things load quicker too.

Cable is ultimately much faster than DSL. However, if all of your neighbors are online at the same time as you are, the speed will drop.
