You can also see the new snow across northern Nevada and western Utah. There's also that new swath throughout Wyoming, northern Nebraska, eastern Montana, and South Dakota that should expand considerably today. But take a look at how much snow is melting across the East.

The snowpack is all but gone in my area. This is about a month ahead of the average of April 15th.

A series of snow storms have impacted my area recently. The snowpack has only melted for brief periods during the day. We've had small storms move in every other day for the past week.

Well, we're getting close to April. This is to be expected. I would say that with that huge blizzard over the Plains that the snow cover right now is probably more extensive than it usually is in late March.

September usually only sees occassional dustings of snow in the Western mountains, although it's very possible we could get some big falls.
