New "LOST" thread

I'll change my times. Sigh....I wish it would be 9 to 11:05!!!!
Nathan - if Henry is the Others Leader, wow, that would be like saying to all dweebs and nerds - you too can be in charge of a mystery island's misfits! Your ship will come in!!!! LOL
The man is just creepy. You know they were looking for a little man, with beady eyes. Good job casting. The actor can say so much with just his eyes.
Sidenote.....we My Name is Earl fans know where Walt is:
TV Guide's Watercooler column
My Name Is Earl
No wonder Walt has Internet access! He's been living with a rich family and dealing with a whole new set of father issues. OK, had to get that out of the way. It's pretty amazing how Earl's efforts to cross young Albee, as we're now calling Lost's Malcolm David Kelley, off his list very nearly remained free of any Michael Jackson-esque innuendos until the very end, when Randy put Albee's Underoos on his face, thinking it was a superhero mask. [critique continues here, if interested:]
http://www.tvguide.com/tv/watercooler/
To those that saw Earl, you can tell that the actor who played Walt presented a big problem. He looks like he aged 3 years since the last time we saw him. I wonder if they'll ever show us Walt again?

LOL... the finale is 2 hours on May 24th.

There's 2 more new episodes, then it's pre-empted on April 19th for the 2-hour Alias return. April 26th is a recap(I think, it's not new), and then the final 4 episodes for May Sweeps.

I am just happy to see Libby, Rose, and Bernard again. Wednesday's episode didn't answer many questions for me, but it did make me feel sorry for Locke.

There goes Brent and his stats again.....LOL
Just kidding.
No what I want is an extra new episode, just once when there's nothing else going on. Which would be non-sweeps time so it would never fly.
But what a real treat that would be - 2 full hours and not a finale!!! I can dream can't I?

I just read this connection on another board (local of all things!). Someone said Locke's father is the real Sawyer. Now I read mentions of this on the IMDB Lost board but I kept thinking they meant our Sawyer. Now I get it, Sawyer (aka James something), took on the man's name who killed his father.
If we've discussed this before, ignore.
All I know is this - John Locke's father is one mean-mean man! He and Sawyer have no idea they share this connection.
Or do they? Maybe that's why Locke is intrigued as to why James would take on a name like Sawyer.
This is all so confusing!!!!
BTW, in the new Entertainment magazine, there's a blowup of the map Locke saw for a few seconds in the hatch. With possible explanations.

According to the producers, the most important thing to take from Wednesday's episode (and the thing to pay attention about apparently) is the map. The map will be the focal point of the final episodes of the season.

I'm with fake Henry on the food - I think they should have questioned the food and it's contents (drugged maybe?) a long time ago. I wouldn't trust a food drop either! I'd be living on bananas anyway....LOL
I didn't make the lockdown connection before until now. But that would only work if the entire survivor group stayed in the bunker. Which I've wondered about too, why remain at the beach under parts of the plane and blue tarps (I still have to ask where did they get these?), when you could be safe from storms and predators. Then again whoever is behind all of this - science experiment, the government, etc. - would be watching and know that most of the group prefers the beach, over the hatch.
Which brings to mind another nagging question I have - is anyone staying at the cave or have they abandoned that spot?

According to the official Lost podcast from ABC (March 20, 2006 22:30 into the podcast), the plane was also carrying freight from Australia. Among the freight being imported was blue tarps. Something about good quality tarps are imported from Australia. .

That's convenient.

I don't know about anything being in the food, although all those Dharma labels on the food sure do look weird. I haven't noticed anything different with the ones who are eating that food more than the others. Well, Locke and Jack are at each a lot, but that's not really unusual. And Hurley doesn't seem like he's changed any either. What could be wrong with the food? hmmm
I think the food drop is very weird! All this time, I've been thinking that all of that food had been there for a while, that they just started out with a lot of it. I figured the milk was made from the powdered junk. If someone is still making food drops, then they expect this Dharma program thing to still be going on. Couldn't they see all the people on the beach? Parts of the plane? The campsites?
Maybe they did, and chose to ignore it. Maybe they did, and they know that's all part of the whole plan. We know that back in the real world, what happened to Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 forced the airlines to shut down. The way everyone is tied together, and those numbers in everyone's lives being the same numbers on the hatch door, the same numbers you push. This is all so bizarre and I can't figure it out! arrrggghhh!!

An easter egg on the Oceanic website:
I survived a horrific plane crash and am stranded on an island somewhere Northeast of Australia and Southwest of Hawaii. In the event that I am never found, please forward word of my fate to my parents.

Did you see all the Lost pages Entertainment Weekly has? I was excited! I think I've read some over the weeks I've been receiving a free prescription (how to these start I wonder). One was great, it contained a 2 page, pull out diagram of the plane, who was sitting where, what section, seat number, info on the character (past and current info). It really cleared some questions I had up (I'll try to find it among their Lost links). I've noticed that EW strongly supports Lost. Almost weekly there's something to keep Lost fans interested (as if that's a problem for us!).

And now to TV Guide's Wednesday Lost teasers/Q and A's, etc. I look forward to these now!!!

Was last week really "the episode that changed everything"? It seems hyperbolic. After all, it's another Lost Wednesday, and here we are again. In any event, changes could be in store for Hurley. Didn't we last see him about to fall off a cliff? Talk about being "out of the loop"! It's all tied to his visions (at least that's what we think they are) of his old mental-institution mate Dave (Evan Handler). And wasn't Sayid pointing a gun at the character formerly known as Henry Gale? And wasn't it followed by the sound of a gunshot? We shall see. — Paul Droesch

________
Question: I hear bribery sometimes works in getting answers, so I'll send you a couple of Snapple bottles if you answer me this: What happened to Vincent on Lost? Last we knew, Shannon was taking care of him. — Brent
Ausiello: Get that packing slip ready, Brent: We'll see Vincent in next week's episode and then again in the finale.
________
Question: You said that last week's episode of Lost would reveal a surprising link between Locke and Sawyer. What happened? — Ken
Ausiello: A line of dialogue was excised to make the link more subtle. But trust me — it's there.
________
Question: Somehow, I don't think that it is a coincidence that Locke's father was a con man just like Sawyer. — David
Ausiello: See, Ken — I told you it was there.
________
Question: Was Rose blind and now she can see? — Jammer
Ausiello: No.
________
Question: I shall now ask the question that everyone has been asking: WTF has happened with Michael and Walt? When will their hiatus end? — Peter
Ausiello: Didn't I already tell you guys we'd see Michael again during May sweeps? And I'm guessing where there's Michael, there's Walt.
