After having a bad hair cute around Christmas time I am letting mine grow out so it doesn't look great. My hair is brownish red and sort of short but not as short as it was in December.

Two weeks ago, I got up the nerve for a "middle-aged-woman-with-an-attitude" haircut: EXTREMELY short (nearly shaved) back and lower sides with a VERY texturized and spikey top. The really short parts are now salt and pepper (all the "bottle blonde" shorn off) and the top is salt and pepper with streaks of blonde highlights which had been added a month ago. I've bought extra-large earrings to provide balance. I absolutely love this look and the confident attitude I feel with it. My husband and family love this hairdo, as well -- and I really wouldn't care if they didn't! :P

Long, straight as straw, fine, and chestnut brown. Usually always down or, once in a while, in a ponytail.

That's a very vivid description, we almost don't need a photograph to picture it! :D

I'm Mancow but blonde. Not a whole lot of time spent in the bathroom fixing the hair.

Dark brown and balding about half way back. Presently buzzed. Guess it's too late for that Mohawk I always wanted. Some day I may go for the "old head" look: Bald, but with a pony tail.

Facial hair varies: usually a very short beard and mustache, but for a while there, I had a walrus mustache like the guy on the choppers show. It's such a pain to shave. I always gravitate to whatever is the least amount of work.

Hah! My HAIR is what everyone recognizes about me!! I've worn it this way for over 35 years! Sometimes I cut a whole foot off...and nobody even knows.

My hair turned quite gray when I was young...the front is white, with several white "bands" of white swirling 'round to that fat little bun that I always wear perched right on the top of my head!

My students often call me the "little 'ole lady with the bun"....at least that's the GOOD things they call me!!!......p :D

I hear ya, I do the same thing, cut off a 6-8 inches and no one hardley mentions it. I think I actually DID something, but I guess I am going to have to cut it up to my ears for people to pay attention. BTW that is some big weed in that photo.

Short, growing out perm (naturally fine and straight as a broom-straw),
very dark brown with sprinkles of gray. I used to use auburn hair color,
as, I have green eyes and fair skin, but, the years of coloring was drying
my scalp out, terribly. So, nature colors it now!

Have a funny story about that big "weed"!!

One of my students called me out into the greenhouse to tell me something "important"....usually, this preceeds them telling me "I'm pregnant."

It seems that on the way to our vocational school, her entire bus was discussing how the Horticulture instructor was selling marijuana! Of course, I was thinking they meant the MALE instructor....and was laughing to myself at what kids can think of! "Yes, "she" is growing it in her backyard and bringing it to school for the kids!"

"Have you seen my instructor" she asked the other kids...."she's just a little grey-haired lady"....... ARGH! Those kids meant ME!!

The only thing I could think of was this particular pic posted in the classroom! I went directly up to the administration office to do some 'splainen' before they over-reacted!!......p
