La Nina looks smaller compared with the past week data.The question is if Neutral ENSO will appear earlier than thought.

hey cycloneye if NEUTRAL conditions appear early then thought like i have been expecting will this cause an increase in more hurricanes.because i looked up neutral years in the atlantic and they have been very active compared to other years!

Neutral years tend to be bad for Florida in terms of major Cape Verde hits from the east.

Christy the only difference from 2005 is that on average the Atlantic is somewhat cooler than last year at this date.

well yea but remember its only april whats it gonna be of us if the atlantic warms up which iam fully expecting it to as we get into the summer months!

Can someone possibly bring up comparsion shots of not only 2005 but possibly up to 2002,2003,2004,2005, and the present of SST's at this date?


I wanna see a broader picture of what we're, looking at right now.

Yeah that is for sure, but I can also see the drastic increase of heat in the GOM. As they say for every action there is a reaction. That heat had to go somewhere, guess it's in the Gulf.


Now can anyone post SST records of 02,03 and 04? It would be appreciated.
