Interesting how questions on important things (like storm surge dangers) are further down the list, while global warming is the top question. I think that should be changed. Mike is also right on how the media is at the conference more than previous years (due to Katrina in New Orleans/global warming debate). Any agree? Thoughts?

i think global warming has nothing to do with the more Frequent Major Hurricanes we have been having the past couple of seasons,i think people need to understand that we are in a active hurricane cycle and it may last 10-15 years so people the best advise and the best thing u can do is be ready and have a hurricane plan in place for u and your family ready come june 1.

Mike is discussing on how frequency has not changed/the global warming issue now. What do you think?

I wish storm surge would be discussed more/be a top priority question. Does anyone agree?

Mike is talking on El Nino chances now!

Again I am an amateur, but i think that Global Warming does have an effect on the water temps, and an indirect effect on hurricanes.

on the El NIno-2007, i think this will be a weak La Nina or a neutral year

I think we may have an El Nino next year or in 2008... it's a possibility.

That is an interesting addition to the forcast I will be looking forward to. I am dissapointed in how the media is during this conference. Mike was mentioning not one question about the troughing/ridging in the atlantic. That is a very important factor as far as landfalls of future hurricanes will be in 2006. I really enjoyed the show tonight, as it was pretty educational to me, we are lucky to have a show like this to listen to.
