Good evening everyone. Stayed home from work today ... feigned illness to work on my comp (don't tell anyone :o ).

The weather was dreary all day. I hear that if we nuked Catalina Island that we would have no marine layer. That would be cool. :D

Back to the games now. C ya! Joshua

Good morning everyone. :)

I am half way through my visit here in southeastern Massachusetts.

Some days are more involved than others with visiting aunts, uncles, cousins and my mother's and sister's friends... which in part are my friends, too.

This Wednesday I am going to attend a "family reunion" on my mother's side of the family, at one of my uncle's (one of my mother's brothers) for the day. Last year, we had it at one of my mother's sisters house. The best part about this is that it will not be the day before I leave for Florida like it was last year; not only because it is just hours before I had to get up for the flight, but the timing in general.

The weather here on Monday was far better than Sunday, that's for sure and as expected. The FOX25-Boston meteorologist said that there was a wind gust up to 60 miles per hour during Sunday's storm on one of the the islands off of Massachusetts (either Martha's Vineyward or Nantucket).

Hey snowman tell Michelle we said happy birthday! And don't worry I'll see what I can do for ya as far as rain.
We have had about 1/3" of rain this morning, it is a dreary one here.
Shannon, Guam? That's cool. I've never seen a foreign license plate.
Where is Crouton anyhow, you'd think he'd come out for some KK's? I got some somewhere let me got get them.
Well that's all for me, see ya later, got to go take a little Tylenol (had a headache yesterday, and boy was it bad!).

Good Morning All

It's a chilly rainy morning here in the Burgh. Our highways become parking lots when it rains here. Don't know why, people slow down to a crawl.

Shannon, thanks for the KK. Sounds like you're as busy as ever. Don't you ever slow down???

David, lol, you say pop too!!! Sorry about the dog keeping you up. Very annoying, very annoying.

Tom, one thing about those family reunions, REALLY GOOD FOOD!!! I love reunions of any kind.

Shame on you Joshua!!!!! Hope you're feeling well enough to go to work today. lol

Dennis, what are you getting Michelle for her BD. Would ya give her a big ((Hug)) from Dink???

Well folks, I'll put on a fresh pot of coffee, grab a KK, pat Crouton on the head and get to work.

Take care my friends,
Karan

Josh, shame shame!! :D I am guilty too though!!

Shannon........take a breath girl!! You sound like you are thoroughly enjoying yourself though!

We got the rain here last night! Very nice, but I think my grass grew a foot! :D

Just got out of a one-on-one meeting with my boss' boss! We were discussing the fact that I do not have a filter between my brain and my mouth! :D Very interesting conversation!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

lol Sandi. Tell your boss you will be happy to replace your filter, but they're only made in Aruba. See if they company will pay for a work-related cruise.

Hey Dennis - no wonder you guys have such a booming tourist industry with all that Viagra falling from the sky! Happy Pre-Birthday Michelle!

Garrett - bummer about Darla moving. :(

Tom - When I visit New England, there are 3 things I always stuff my suitcase with before heading home: maple syrup, Lily's Caesar Dressing, and Fluff!! Hmm, I wonder why my suitcase always gets opened and inspected at the airport. :b?

Have a great day all you porchers!

Back to the Guam License Plate...and it actually said "Guam U.S.A." I kid you not! Here is what a sample plate looks like Image

Surprisingly, I'm slowing down...about 7 hours of researching fot the internship, and the rest of the time is up to me.

Jeremy... Crouton is probably enjoying himself in a mud bath. Even KK's don't help.

Thanks Donna. We knew it was just a matter of time. The pay is much better for her. We will still see each other some, but not as much. :)

Dennis... I hope Michelle has a happy b-day! :multi:

Jeremny... hope the headache is better today.

Everyone have a great evening on the front porch!

Evening everyone. :)

It's a tad cool here in Topeka, as clouds stayed around all day, completly busting my forecasted high of 70°. :(

Hope everyone has a great night. :D

I had a cloudy day too. I wish this blasted marine layer would disappear. :( Oh well.

I had a bad day at work. It was terrible. :( I really don't want to talk about it right now. Sorry.

Hope you all have a better Wednesday than I did a Tuesday. Joshua

Sandi...I always tell my employees that the worst possible thing I could do for the company is to hire people just like me. That would spell FAIL with a capital F.

Instead, I find ways to use all kinds of people, all kinds of personalities, and even those who don't have a filter between their brain and their tongue to find POSITIVE ways to make that work to their benefit in ours.

And...if it STILL doesn't work, well that's how people get GUAM license plates.

A good boss will recognize that talent as a GOOD thing, though. Those one way tickets are expensive!

Best wishes!

Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!

Donna, my mother has a few extra things to bring back, in fact, some of the items I believe she is (seriously) going to pack and ship just before we leave so we don't have to lug it back with our luggage.

Dennis, some days are busier than others... but generally they are all busy in their own way. At least I am able to get online for awhile, better than nothing. :)

I am going to my uncle's (one of my father's brothers) surprised 80th birthday party this Saturday late morning-early afternoon for a brunch. A good portion of my father's side of the family will be there... just like my aunts, uncles and cousins on my mother's side will be at the "family reunion" today.

Tuesday started out sunny in southeastern Massachusetts then some high thin cloudiness blocked the sun for most of the afternoon before the upcoming rain event... there may even be some rumbles of thunder with the activity during today.

Speaking of thunder, I noticed central Florida had thunderstorms during the day and evening hours of Tuesday. Rain chances across the Sunshine State are quite high as the rainy season began in the last 1/2 a week to week.

See everyone later this evening. :)

Good Morning!! I just put on a pot of fresh coffee, pull up a chair and stay a while!

Skyman- Thanks a bunch for your input! The conversation I had with the Big Boss was actually very nice. He does appreciate my input, I just tend to be very brutal. In this particular instance, I told our plant manager that if he couldn't stand the heat then he needed to get the h*** out of the kitchen. The words were out of mymouth before my brain could stop them. But it did prompt my boss to ask me why I said it. I then had the opportunity to tell him exactly why. So it all worked out!

Life is good today! Went to see Matrix Reloaded and I must say that I liked the first one better, but only because they made the last 2 movies a "to be continued" type to make sure that you went to see the next one when it comes out in November. It was a cliffhanger.

Getting ready for this class to end, have to take my Math profficiency exams next week.......YUCK :x but it is all good once I finish!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Morning everyone!

I seemed to have slept in a little this morning, sleeping until 9:00. :o That is pretty late for me. My sister actually woke me up, letting me know she left her lunch at home. The only day I don't have to take her and she forgets something! Doesn't that just figure?

Looks like today will be a little warmer than the last two. I hope. The highs here the last two days have been 67 and 66. Our average high is 81º.

Everyone enjoy the day!

Happy Wednesday!!

Raine calling!

So good to see everyone still hangin' out on the Front Porch, you guys are a sight for sore eyes without a doubt!

It's so very good to be home, spent the last few days getting back into my home routine, how I missed being home.I am so thankful that once again I have all my chicks under the same roof....God is sooooooo good!

Hugs to all of you, heartfelt thanks too for all of your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time with our son.He is on the mend, still needs alot of rest and a great deal of fattening up, but each day he gets stronger. We go back to the hospital on the 17th for surgery to remove some bladder stones, we should be able to come home the same day.

I wish I could personally hug each and everyone of you, somehow just writing thanks does not do justice to how I feel in my heart. It will have to suffice though, please know that I am grateful and thankful for being blessed with such wonderful people!

I still have some catching up to do, little at a time I suppose, but I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things! :D

All for now, almost lunch time, take good care, Peace and Grace to all!

Blessings and Love,
Raine and family
