Karan, have a great time in Roanoke! LOL, I'd rather not think about
ICED Earl Grey - we'd better stick to Lipton or Luzianne for that!

Hey all - popping in quickly and I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter. I may not be around much until next week. Our college aged daughter will be home for a short holiday weekend and I'm doing to the transportation. One way for a combined shopping trip - should be fun. And mostly to load my car with items she'll be bringing home from her dorm. I'm hoping she gives me a lot this time. So our move out day will be less hectic. At least that's my plan.

Happy Easter everyone!

no fire needed today... we just needed the shelter from the wonderful severe t-storm that we had last night... (winds 55mph, hail).

I'm not sure how much I'll be around... will be in/out the next couple of weeks... I have my flight physical for the hurricane hunters the first week of May down at Keesler AFB.

Best of luck on it! I'll be at Keesler myself in late May and early June for tropical school.

You need to hook up with Lindaloo and MsRobi911 from Pascagoula when you're there.

If your gonna have some free time, send me a pm and we can get together and meet somewhere or whatever...It would be nice to meet you. I can't wait to meet Sexypepr....heheheehheheeheee...he's probably scared :)! Biloxi is only 30 minutes away and I am sure I can get Lindaloo and maybe bluefrog to come with me and we can have a girls night at one of the casinos or something!

You know how bad luck comes in three's? Well, I'm trying to come up a good third, so it stops right now!

1. The pipe our sump pump drains into and runs to the very back of our yard, is backed up. Now it could be b/c the ground is just saturated from several days of storms. There are puddles in the back, the ground can't absorb all the water. But we've had heavy rains before and the area around the foundation where the sump pump comes out of the basement and goes into the ground, is filled with water. Our house is 17 years old so the pipe could be clogged with tree roots and sediment. Several neighbors have had to have new pipes laid. So it's time I guess but a major job (we're the DIY type, out of necessity and budget). In the meantime, we have a 12 foot simple black hose attached to the pipe to direct the water away from the foundation. It's our back yard, so no one sees this black hose sitting on top of our grass. We're hoping to dig the old pipe up next Saturday and replace it.

2. Next we saw a wasp trapped on a window screen and wanted to put it outside. When I opened that window, the cable just snapped.

Help - trying to figure out our third thing! LOL

Good news is our basement never got wet - whew (half is finished)!

I am SO ashamed of myself, I don't REMEMBER the LAST time I was around the PBS......I DANG SURE picked the RIGHT profession if I wanted to stay BUSY  as the economic times get harder, the crime rate goes UP :x I hardly have time to sit ANYWHERE anymore.....I know, "Waaaaaa, waaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

We've had the A/C on for days now. I'm seriously looking into buying thermal drapes for our 3 bedroom windows. They face south and we just about died last summer (temps hovered in the mid 90s, humid, very dry days). We have mini blinds are them now but that's not enough. Thought we'd have a brutally cold winter and I'd buy them then but surprise - mild winter! I have a bad, bad feeling we're in for a very hot summer.

Does anyone really know what our summer is predicted to be like? I'm almost afraid to ask.
