India too...Seems like everyone is trying to catch up with modern civilization..

Nigeria's downfall in output is affecting prices as well.

Well, as long as Americans are greedy with all their cars and big cars and vans, the situation will never get better. Americans use more natural resourses than any country in the world. And to make matters worse, they will not give up their big cars or vans.
Me... we are buying a new car and it will definately be a compact that will hold four people. If we get more company, we will rent a bigger car.

Just think, the airline prices will skyrocket..... they have to use tons of oil considering 1000s are in the air at the same time.

I don't think it's greedy for a family of 7 to have a van. A lot of couples have 4 or 5 kids and need the bigger vehicles. Why should they give them up?

Btw, I filled up yesterday at Kroger. It was $2.79/gal and I got 10 cents off per gallon from purchases at Kroger the previous month, so I paid $2.69/gal.
Unreal.

That is different, Southern, a family of 7. I am talking about people who have cars and vans. I know tons of people who have vans even with 1 or 2 children. We are a country of several cars and vans in one family. My sis is an example, I am sorry to say. Just her and her husband and they have four vehicles. I am just saying, we are using more gas for a country for personal transportation. I know some households have to have two cars cause of both husband and wife working, but wouldn't it be better if they were small cars if they did not have a lot of children.

To reduce the amount of petroleum they burn.

It's irresponsible to have 4,5, or 7 kids in the first place.

It will top out, just like it did last year, desptie similar attempts to panic everyone. It will be higher than last year's peak, of course, as it already is. But it won't get near $100 this year.

See, it's already back to $71.50 on the New York exchange. No need for panic.
