Question for the girls/ladies
I have a major problem, just errupted, any help appreciated. Let's say my friend prank calls the girl you like, and says random stuff, like putting the full name of you in, saying you love her, and want to (curse word) her? On a message machine, which they will probably get any time.
What should I do? Thanks.....

Miss Mary
Kathy is right - honesty will get everywhere in life. Remember that now.....to teachers, parents, etc. Hold your head up high David, you did nothing wrong. Except of course reveal to your friend who you like. Something tells me you won't do that again. It's hard learning things like this but we all have to go thru it. I tell my girls to always be honest. If they haven't prepared for a test, if they forgot to do a project, to always tell the teacher right away, first thing when the school day starts. And you know what? They rarely forget assignments now and are prepared. Honestly David - honesty is the best policy. Good advice you got there.

Interesting that you refer to the caller as a "friend."
If you know who it is, I'd make a case for the same person calling back and telling the truth.
That's probably not likely to happen, so I'd just let the girl know it wasn't you that called and that you just wanted her to know that.
Good luck with this one.

They know it wasn't me. They had a caller ID. I'm just so boggled, so lost, and I feel so helpless. I really have no clue what's going to happen. (There is way more to this then anyone knows) I sent her an email stating that I was sorry, I could understand why they are mad, and I told her to feel free and block me from email and IMs. If she does, I hope she sends me one more email saying so. It's just a bad thing, and it all comes back to me.

Sorry this happened to you David, I have a 16 yr old son, I have never in my life seen so many pranks going on (of course I have never had a teenage son before lol) especially with school out and parents at work. Kids are bored I guess so they do dumb and stupid stuff like that. WE had one kid who continues to egg and flour the vehicles under the carport, gave him one warning to cut it out the second time told his parents, they thought it was funny, so I called the cops. He and my son have been friends since they were in Kindergarden so it really bothered me to have to do that BUT he is responsible for his behavior and the parents had no control so I took control. Haven't seen him since. You need to tell this girl who made the phone call so her parents can deal with it.

David, I am really sorry to hear about this situation you are in. It really hurts when so called "friends" do such things. I remember going through something very similar when I was at school. It hurt my feelings terribly, but it did teach me to be a lot wiser about sharing things with other people and taught me to be more selective in who I choose to get close to. I would rather have 1 really good trustworthy friend than 10 people who betray my trust and do hurtful things.
You have gotten some good advice from the members here on the board and I agree 100% being honest is the best thing you can do.
Hang in there friend, it will all work itself out for the best
