Where do you like shopping for your clothes?

#1 Postby swimaster20 » Thu Apr 20, 2006 3:38 pm

I like getting my clothes from Sears, JCPenney, American Eagle, Old Navy, and Gap. I also get a few things from TJMaxx, Marshall's, etc. I like Abercrombie & Fitch, but I have one shirt from there that cost $20, so I really can't afford shopping there often.

So, where do y'all like to shop?

I love buying summer clothes at A.B. Lambdin. Otherwise, wherever I can get a bargain. I always buy clothes on sale only. We have a nice Macy's here in PR and I can get fabulous sales there. But, I really don't shop that much.

I buy most of my work clothes from the Polo outlet and the Nautica outlet. I run a pretty casual office.

For working in the yard or out in the factory when we're shorthanded, it's Wal-Mart all the way, though sometimes I've even been known to buy the really cheap stuff at Goodwill.

For going out and hanging out it just depends, ya know?

For my casual clothes, I love shopping at American Eagle, Aeropostle and Old Navy. I also love shopping at Hollister and Abercrombie but we don't have those stores in Houma. I can only shop at them when I go to the malls an hour away in New Orleans. For my dressier going out at night clothes, I love Body Shop and Bloom. But, Bloom is also not in Houma, I have to go to New Orleans. Charlotte Russe is another favorite, but also in New Orleans! We need to get more clothing stores in Houma! The mall in Houma does not have much of a variety of shops.

I like shopping mainly American Eagle and Hollister. Occasionally Abercrombie but can't really afford that clothing. Also sometimes Express Men.

LOL!!!

I've been on a few all womens shopping trips to Chicago, with my husband's sisters. A few have ventured up to a pricey street, with shops such as Prada.

I stayed back at the hotel. Or hit up the other Marshall Fields (Water Tower Mall).

I'm sure there's a Chanel on that street - I forget the name of this area west of the Magnificent Mile. But hey I could have held their bags!

One SIL bought a goat coat at Nordstrom's, the year I didn't go. I told her it's a darn good thing, cause I would have been crying! I already told her don't expect me to ever walk inside that Nordstrom's fur dept. No way! But that's a whole other subject.....

Yes, I see advertised all the time on tv that better quality of clothing is starting to be present in discount stores like Kmart, etc. They said they are even starting to sell upscale diamonds at Walmart, over $10,000. I suppose if you could get the same quality of diamond as in the higher end store, makes sense to buy from a discount store. You are paying for the name when you buy from Tiffanies, etc. I have noticed that you can go to Saks, Macy, etc. and if you shop for their great sales, you pay the same as Kmart prices. You can always get real good deals at high end stores. I never pay regular price, cause in a week, they go on sale. Outlets are great too.
