Poor, poor Bruce...it sure wore me out watching as he was being prepped for transport to a hospital. I suspected (possibly) his appendix even before that Survivor medic mentioned it... :(

*********

Mercy!! Blockage in his colon and bladder as it turns out! :( That has to be the most serious major medical crisis so far in Survivor that I can recall.

Was a very nice gesture from the gals in his rock garden for him!

Godspeed Bruce!

Wow - I was so afraid Jeff was going to say Bruce passed away. But he kept smiling so I hoped it wouldn't be such bad news.

You all know my health history - I was just dying for Bruce, I really-really felt for the guy going thru all that.

I'll be very surprised if he recovers quickly enough to be a member on the jury. I'm guessing he had colon surgery, to correct the blockage. That is not easy to recover from!

I wish the group would turn on Shane. He's nekked too much, cries like a girl, carries on like a girl ("I'm having an emotional reaction here!"), and sets up Courtney (who I don't particularly care for but that's just not nice), carries on that Courtney is the lunatic - well honey, you need a mirror Shane! I wish he was gone but at least he does add drama each week. That's what Laura says he's been good for - Survivor drama!

poor poor Bruce! I feel for him...when they were showing the previews I kept thinking they were doing CPR on the vic, but when they actually showed it all it was Shane kissing him on the head goodbye.....Shane is just to crazy! He needs to go, but if Terry gets the chance, Aras is off! He is his only major competitor in the challenges and I do believe that Aras blew off the contest for the trip cause he new Cirie would take him and he didn't want the rest of them tt'd off at him, which it worked!

Oh well, I think next week is the car thing! We will see who wins and if the bad luck string will be broken!

Forgot to add - I'm enjoying Terry's smirks as he watches the dissention grow between the once tight Casaya members.

Priceless Survivor moment - Shane's reaction to his tribemates stating he thinks he's in charge. What planet has he been on? Oh wait, he's the one that picks up a rectangular rock next week and pretends it's his Blackberry.

I rest my case!

Karan - yes I do. Terry is my favorite but Cirie is a close second.

Okay, I have Bruce scoop. But not the kind Brent can dig up (he has a way of giving us real scoop!).

I taped the Friday morning Today show Survivor segment. Usually it's an interview with the recently voted off contestant and an unaired segment. I never expected to see Bruce sitting there but there he was!

So, suffice to say he survives Survivor - oh that was a bad pun there. LOL

However, he did not reveal much. Wouldn't say if he's on the jury or not. We have to tune in next week. He wasn't asked if he had surgery - my burning question. I seriously doubt that a laxative would do the trick. He did say he's returned to teaching. And he called his former Casaya tribemates a dysfunctional tribe. That is so true! He was pleased to see the tribute scene Courtney and Danielle gave him, at his former zen garden. Can't recall if Cirie was there too.

The unaired scene is of Cirie seeing Bruce's gym shoes left behind at camp. And putting them on. She took them off before the scene ended. You could tell that was odd that Bruce thought she put them on. That's when he called them all dysfunctional!

This is the word I'm going with now - they are dysfunctional. Shane is the ring leader, then Courtney!

Terry's the only sane one. Cirie maybe, but she giggles too much. This isn't a slumber party Cirie!

Bruce's face filled out, right before he left camp, it was very drawn looking, sunken in like I noticed. He looked fit and healthy again. And was disappointed he had to leave like that. He wanted to remain in the game. He said the pain was too much and he thought it might be a burst appendix or the main artery going into his stomach (something like that). I wondered if his GI tract was blocked - the correct diagnosis. I'm not a former colon cancer survivor for nothing. I know I could never last on Survivor! No way.

April 20, 2006: Bruce's Unfortunate Exit
As fans of this show, we've sat through the guzzling of cow blood and feasts of bugs and rats and even endured Richard Hatch's big, white, naked butt. Shudder. But the sight of Bruce writhing in helpless agony was one of the most disturbing images ever to air on Survivor. After managing to hang on with no solid alliance among a tribe of nitwits, it was a sad finish when it was his own body that caused his downfall. The man who called himself Mr. Miyagi suffered in that state for quite some time, as evidenced by how unwell he looked for the last several episodes. Hopefully he'll be able to return as part of the jury. And "boo" to Shane for trying to make Bruce's suffering about himself, as he just had to carry the stretcher sans shorts. Again, shudder.

The reward challenge brought back memories of the Rotu Four in Marquesas giving away the pecking order, except I wouldn't be surprised to see Danielle's and Shane's spots swapped. I loved the little voodoo figures, with Cirie stuffing her doll's bra and Aras fashioning his with a mini-faux-hawk. Shane and Courtney should have fitted theirs with ministraitjackets, because they are both a boatload of crazy. Quite a bit of information came to light about the relationships among the former Casaya members, with only Aras and Cirie seeming as if they have a solid alliance. Hey, all that nighttime cuddling has to mean something, right? Shane thinks he's running the whole show, and they'll let him continue that delusion, but he's headed for a big fall. Maybe he should ask Twila from Vanuatu about just how smart it is to swear on your kid's life. But my guess is that Courtney will go before Shane — as the game revealed her tribe just does not think much of her at all.

While there is always lots of crap-talk on Survivor, this episode took it to an absurd level. Between Bruce's intestinal problems, Shane's repeated questions about "dropping a deuce" and Courtney talking about the cherry on her "poo-poo sundae," I felt like I was toilet-training a 2-year-old. Then again, with his sand-kicking, card-tossing tantrum, Shane was acting like a 2-year-old.

Okay, joke's on us I guess. I was reading the fans replies after that TV Guide blog. Someone says they find it hard to believe Shane is a marketing exec. A few others say it's an actor, he's had several minor roles. Click here!

Okay then, he's an actor portraying a crazy guy on Survivor? That's going to be his excuse, you watch.....

Found a comical review of last week's episode on Entertainment Weekly. LOL @ the "Shane and Courtney Show"!

Casaya Relief

On ''Survivor,'' Bruce's digestive problems cause him so much suffering that he has to be evacuated

By Dalton Ross

THE TRIBE HASN'T SPOKEN Bruce left without a tribal council

First things first. I'm not giving Jenna Morasca five dollars. A few weeks ago on Survivor Live, after they showed us the clip of someone being carried out on a stretcher, I said it looked like a girl, Morasca said it looked like a guy, and a five-dollar wager was agreed to. Of course, approximately 30 seconds after said bet was made, I remembered that Jenna Morasca is a walking spoiler. She trolls every message board, talks to every contestant, and basically has everything figured out before Mark Burnett even films it. So, Morasca — I ain't payin'.

This comes after we've seen that, yes, Bruce was the one carried off — by a naked Shane, no less (there has to be a better way to go than that). Unlike Morasca, I like to know nothing when I watch a Survivor episode, and here is a perfect example of why. We saw the clip in March of someone being taken away on a stretcher; then last week we saw Bruce doubled over in pain; and then CBS issued an episode description saying that someone would be taken out of the game for medical attention. Put all three pieces of information together and you have...no reason to bother watching the episode!

Okay, maybe that's being a bit harsh. There was plenty of other stuff to enjoy, such as Bruce's seemingly hourly bowel-movement updates, Cirie giving her voodoo doll boobs, Terry taking his traditional pensive pose on top of the Exile Island skull (a pose I struck myself, although with much less dramatic results), and, of course, the Shane and Courtney Show! See Courtney be told by her tribemates that she never shuts up, is a poser, and is also the most annoying person in camp. See Shane get pissed at Cirie for not taking him to a spa getaway, and then later see him start sucking face with her. And finally, see Courtney tell Shane, ''I want to be on your backside and I'd like you to be on mine.'' (Does that mean what I think it means? Because if it means what I think it means, then I'm still not sure how it made it past network censors and on the air. And I think I need to go wash my brain out with soap.)

As for Bruce, I'm not trying to make light of his medical situation, but do you think he was regretting scarfing down those two ginormous burgers at the last immunity challenge? They alone may have counted for approximately half of his ''blockage.'' (Am I the only one who worried that when that doctor showed up and put on the headlight, he would be looking at something besides Bruce's stomach?) Now what I am about to propose may make me sound like a bastard — especially coming on the heels of my very public bet welshing — but once Bruce left the island on a stretcher, his game should have been over right then and there. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. (No pun intended with the ''but'' thing, by the way.) Once you've left the game, you should not be allowed back in under any circumstances, unless you are an Outcast, in which case it seems you can sleep in luxury accommodations, dine on steak and caviar for a few days, and basically do whatever the hell you want before coming back to make the final two.

I know the edit made it look like all the contestants were supremely concerned about their fallen tribemate, but you can't tell me that once they found out he was going to be okay, they weren't a bit relieved he wasn't coming back, putting them all one step closer to the cool mil. Everyone kept going on about what a hero Bruce is and how much respect they had for him, but as the reward challenge clearly pointed out, he was the next to go (since Terry already had the hidden immunity idol). It's kind of a shame because Bruce is an interesting fellow and did provide us with this episode's most classic moment, writhing around in pain as Courtney asked if her serenading him would help. ''No'' came the terse reply. So what does she do? She starts singing anyway! ''Don't,'' pleaded Bruce, listening to a ditty that surely was more painful that even a machete to the face.

And don't look now, but RoboSurvivor II: The Sequel is now guaranteed of making it to at least the final five. What Terry is doing so far is in one way even more impressive than Tom Westman's achievements, in that he has been in the minority as opposed to the majority and has really had to win all his challenges to stay in the game. On the other hand, Tom killed a freakin' shark. I'll stick with the Long Island Locomotive for now, but the navy fighter pilot definitely is on the path toward an impressive showing. Will any of the crazed Casayans give him the loot, though? He may need to get on some of their backsides to seal the deal.

What do you think? Would Bruce have been voted out anyway? And who's crazier — Shane or Courtney?

Surprising Tribal council tonight. I hope I remember to tape the AM news show. I have to see that interview, with the recently voted off........don't want to say more than that until everyone has had a chance to watch.

OK... The West Coast has seen the show. :P

Terry won the car... not surprising. Wonder if the curse will remain? The person who has won the car has never won the game.

The Courtney thing wasn't surprising from the promos and the spoilers. This leadership thing is going to bite Cirie in the butt eventually.

We officially have our first upset jury member... Danielle voted for Courtney! The same Danielle who was supposed to be in the Final 3 with her.

Cirie did the moves of all moves last night. She did what I think they should have done in past seasons, she got them to vote off the scape goat!! Way to go girl. She has grown on me big time, and I really like the woman. She is right where she needs to be. I think Shane is next, and then Danielle or Aras. Who ever is F3 they will want to be sitting next to Cirie. Very smart move on her part. She definitly out played and outsmarted last night.

Congratulations Terry on the GMC Yukon win! :)

But you have to wonder though if he really is "INvincible?" Will there ever be a challenge that he will come up short in?

GREAT going for Cirie on catching her first fish on the series! :) Those childhood fishing experiences paid off! :D

I was glad to see Courtney go! :)

Looks like Shane has another "meltdown" next week. :crying:

Will there ever be a challenge that (Terry) will come up short in?

While not specifically a challenge, he will be toast when it comes down to the jury picking the winner. I think Terry is a lock for the $100k second place prize, but I don't see how he can possibly win the $1 Million. Everyone else there hates him!

Cirie has turned into one smart cookie. Did you notice that at the very beginning of the episode last night she said she was going to get Courtney voted off at the next TC? She's really improved from being the person who I thought should have been booted at the first TC. She's as good of a manipulator as Richard Hatch from the first Survivor.

gtalum, I agree with you 100%. I think even if Terry makes it to the final two, he will loose. What a shame. They should vote on the one who has played the game the best. Playing the game should include immunity.

I actually don't have a problem with Terry not winning the $1 Million. he is clearly the best physical player otu there. However, as we all know from watching 10 seasons of Survivor, the physical game is only part of it and not the lagrest part of it either. He has done horribly in the more important political aspect of the game. He gloats too much and has made everyone hate him. He also failed to use his immunity idol to build a coalition when it was most likely to succed, ie the first TC after the merge. Had he done that, he'd be forced to win every immunity challenge but he'd also have a big coalition that would vote for him in the jury.

I want to reiterate that Cirie is right now playing a perfect game. If she wins she will deserve it.
