Your Choice

#1 Postby Janice » Tue May 09, 2006 4:23 pm

If you could have one of the following at no expense to you, which would you choose.

1. A live in cook

2. A full time tutor for your kids for extra help with their education

3. A live in housekeeper

4. A full time pool, maintenance and gardner

5. A personal driver to drive you and your family everywhere

I would take the cook

Wow Janice that is a hard one.

A cook would be nice because they could keep us all healthy.
But I am going to have to go with the live in house keeper, then I would have the time to tutor my kids myself, and do loads of other things with them.

If I had to choose, it'd be #5 since I don't drive (wow what a rhyme)

I'd have a tough time picking between the cook and the housekeeper, but I'd probably pick the housekeeper. I really hate cleaning and don't like to cook, but I can order in, or go to Publix and get good food ready to eat. Main thing is that I can get around cooking easily, but there's no getting around needing to clean.

The housekeeper without a doubt. I hate hate hate hate to clean. I could cook to my hearts desire and the housekeeper could clean it up!

I could really lose weight if I had a cook. I would have her make a super nice salad every night for me, all different.

So, in other words, and with apologies to Monty Python, there is no #6.

A housekeeper here. We shouldn't eat. Our yard is mostly rocks. I like keeping the pool sparkling. I can't afford to go anywhwere.

Steve - you're funny. I clicked to see which one you'd choose, knowing you've turned your property into a beautiful landscape design. I love how you say mostly rocks.....LOL!

Me? I'd take the cook. I've always said I'd be a vegetarian if I had a hired cook. Ah but you see, I learned to cook by starting with the meat part of your meal. Ham? Yams and green beans go great with ham. Turkey? Mashed potatoes and dressing.....you get the picture. We eat very little meat in this family and one member is already a vegetarian. I'm just too old to re-learn how to cook again. It would be nice to give a cook a grocery list and see what he/she comes up with. And it would taste great! I'm so much better at making simple meals and baking.

Maybe even having a temporary cook for a few months would be enough. To get me started!

Can I have Jamie Oliver possibly? Now he would give a worn out, run out of good ideas, mom like me a fresh new look at cooking. Or Rachael Ray (but hubby would have to be out of the house, she's to him, like George Clooney is to me!).
