Only I post this because it's May and is very early to see a big disturbance out there in the far Eastern Atlantic.However dont look for Alberto to form from this as it will poof with time. :)

it looks like it has weak banding features on it...if it tracks wnw then in the next few days it could enter the low shear, high sst carribean and develop which i highly doubt would happen

A rather strong system indeed,with a lot of convection that persist,despite the entire cloud mass is over the ocean...What are the sea's temperatures in the sector?.I'am really afraid of this season in terms of CV storms!!!Time will tell as always...

Luis - you are very right. That blob of convection off of Africa is amazing for this time of year. Actually, it would be impressive for August and September also. It looks to have a spin... :eek: :eek: :eek:

It will? Yes, it should, but in 2005 we saw some systems developing at locations and times of the year we didn't expect. And now we have 2006...

its got a very good spin...if it holds together and moves a little north (above 10 north) and gets to the carribean I have a feeling it could have a chance to form something
