It feels like it's setting up nicely down here for another rain event like we had last Weds. Temps are in the 90's with DP's in the 70's. The soup is ready to boil over.

Looks like a gust front may be setting up on the south side of this storm (based on radar). I am not 100% sure though, but I will keep watching. If it is...wind gusts over 50mph would be likely.

Well the worst has blown through my area but we did end up getting 5 minutes worth of pea to marble size hail on the back side of the storm.

just had a funnel cloud pass right over my area with 50mph winds associated. This funnel may have been gustnado like and not truly tornadic...but it was scary none the less. This wind/swirl was also strong enough to flip an outdoor rug, tip potted plants and throw pool toys through the air. Trees were also in full bend as it hit.

I had gusts 40-45 mph with just a little pea to marble-sized hail.

I am now getting another burst of heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning. This doesn't even look that impressive on radar either...but it is.

The first storm that came through Baytown gave us about Quarter size to a few Golf ball side hail. I didn't think to take pictures when I ran the truck down to the freeway over pass. I was there with about 60 other cars. The overpass was at 146 & Missouri Street. (just on the Baytown side of the BIG bridge).
We also got about a inch of rain in that 30 min storm. The second storm that is just finishing up now had given us about another inch or rain.

Holy Smokes...

Was hammered with a wet microburst this afternoon at about 315pm. Estimated winds of 55-65mph...took the tops off of two trees and knocked the power out for 3.0 hours. Leading gust front was estimated at about 45mph. KIAH equipment detected 45kts of 100ft wind shear at about 320 per NWS employee.

Very impressive CG strikes nearly continuous for 30 minutes.

Much ado about nothing here in Austin. Surrounding areas saw some straight-line wind damage but the worst of it went east and west of the metro area. And I'm just fine with that.

Sounds like Jeff and others had a rockin' afternoon. KatDaddy, nice video clip ... that was cool!

No problem everyone.

http://www.photobucket.com makes it all possible.............easy and simple to upload photos and AVI files from the digital camera. This something I will use whenever I can....more like remember during weather events. I get to wrapped up inthe event most of the time to remember a camera.

The storm hitting Laredo right now looks really scary. Currently it is producing baseball sized hail and a funnel cloud. Also, the Laredo Intl. airport just recorded a 61mph wind gust.

We're getting wacked on the NW side of Corpus with heavy rain, nickle size hail, and 50 + mph winds. Probably two inches of rain when all is said and done. That will be three and half inches for me in five days. I may go a whole week and half without having to turn on the spinkler system!!!
