GOM is very active right now......

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Anyone have the LLCs Coordinates? I think the NWS here in Jax definitely forgot to check the satellite when they issued our forecast cause they gave us no chance of rain at all for tomorrow and this is headed straight for us

This thing is at least twice the size of Fla--It takes up the whole gulf, and headed straight for fla so everyone should get at the very least some rain and squalls so there is no way it could miss us.

Well, it's certainly better than watching Desperate Housewives or something just as inane.

That's what we do here, discuss.

There's some SERIOUS rain heading to South FL within the next 45 mins to an hour from this system... South FL is under Tornado Watch until 6am!

Despite what they officially call it, it sure feels to me like a tropical storm...

Wow!!! Looks like S. Fla. is going to get most of the rain according to radar/sattilite data:( :( At this time only cloudy skies here. Hopefully some of the rain will work its way towards the Tampa Bay metro area.

also TAFB says in there 0105 AM discussion that there maybe a surface low forming around 23Nand 93W. Also, see the GFS 00Z run develops a couple of lows in the GOM. Interesting!

Christy, nice radar site. What is the link and how did you mark your location (labeled favorite location) on the radar map?
