I have not seen this in the disco's since last year.....hurricane season is on the way

Yes, I have heard rumor of this wave - either yesterday or the day before, a local met (Rob Perillo) mentioned that something may be forming in the Carib. and moving into the GOM late next week. He just mentioned it in passing - not very concerned and didn't dwell on it. I found that interesting.
Anyone else hear a met mentioning it?

I see hints of it in the modeling...but I also see a big longwave trof over the central GOM next week.
So...I doubt it...but I have to look a little more.

Actually the GFS seems to stall an area of low pressure in the central GOM and then drives it NNE toward the FL Panhandle.
Click on 000 hrs and then put in motion with your mouse wheel.
