Streetcars aren't running on St. Charles right now. They are only on Canal St. and the River (free until some time in June) that I've seen so far.

I really hate to dissapoint everyone, but I won't be able to attend the gathering. I asked for the 20th months ago according to policy and they decide on the 19th to tell me that my request is denied. That really broke my heart cause I was so excited to meet all of you. I am sorry that this happened. Can ya'll spread the word to everyone else and Lindaloo and Sunny.

Thanks and have fun for me.

I reserved the 20th off as soon as I found out about the gathering around the end of March or so. My boss usually gives me whatever I request off. It is first come, first served. There is only 3 people in my department, so I have to make sure I request off before they do. Saturdays are hard to get off. And you can only request 1 off a month if that. And starting in November, no Saturdays off at all, no matter what the reason is. November and December are our busiest months with the Christmas rush.

IM herrrre!!!!!!. After an uneventful flight and some difficulty getting a rental car i arrived in the french quarter shortly after 6 and was met by Sunny in the lobby of the hotel. She took me to dinner :D and we talked for a awhile..then I hung out outside for while and listened to the musicians. Its unreal to be back here. Then today I drove to near Mobile Alabama to meet Lindaloo for lunch(she works in a small town near there). Met her and her co workers and had a great meal..again I didnt pay a cent as her co workers picked it up. It was GREAT meeting Linda as well; shes a very quiet and shy person.

Well maybe not quiet and shy but she is VERY nice.

looking forward to meeting the rest of the gang tommorow!

I am so upset right now. Now it looks like I won't be able to take any pictures for the event. I don't know what is wrong with my digital camera! I never had any problems with it. Now I just put some fresh batteries in and the screen says a full battery. But, my screen is totally black and I can't take any pictures! It is a Sony Cypershot 4.1 megapixels and it was almost $200. I tried it and my screen is totally black and it won't take any pictures at all. It just comes out pitch black like you would be in a dark room! If anyone knows what could be the problem, please help me!

Cajun, plenty of people will be taking pictures. Just have them give you copies.

By the way, George was in the chatroom last night.

He is having a great time.

Why don't you just buy a disposable camera for the trip.

Did you check to see if by mistake, some of the settings were changed? Are you sure the batteries are all charged up and put in the camera correctly?

I am calling Sears now. That is where I bought the camera. The salespeople are pretty knowledgable and can maybe find what the problem is. If not, then I am buying another digital camera and just putting it on my charge card. I can't stand disposable cameras. They take good pictures, but then you can't see how they turn out until you develop them. And then I end up hating the way I look in them. With a digital camera, if I don't like the way I look, I can just delete it and try again.
