Fun Summer Drinks

#1 Postby Janice » Sun May 21, 2006 8:07 pm

Do you have some fun summer drink ideas?

If I have company, I make ice cubes out of iced tea, then put them in regular ice tea. When outside in the heat on the patio, the cubes will not weaken the iced tea like water cubes.

Also, for a little light flavor, put lemonade in ice cube trays. Put the cubes in a glass of plain water. Just a little flavoring for plain water and yummy too.

Also, make plain ice cubes in a tray and add something different in each square before freezing, a bit of lemon, a cherry, a mint. This is novel and fun to suck on when outside in the heat.

Pimms. The best summer drink. Pimms, lemonade (or 7UP), strawberries, lemon, cucumber and ice.

It all depends how you like it!! Usually about 2 parts lemonade to one part pimms. With the fruit (and cucumber) just slice ot cube it and throw it in. When you serve it you make sure that each glass has some of the fruits etc in with it......fantastic.

Since I am dieting, I think I will make a cube tray with water and put a strawberry in each one. These cubes should be good in fresh water and the strawberry would be an added treat... :D
