This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

One of these waves could end up being our first storm 1-2 weeks down the road.

I hope those train waves don't stay consistent through the 2006 or my 30/20/12 that I forecasted in pole won't be far off

Heres a IR loop on the tropical wave...seems to be holding some convection!

I believe the Atlantic is going to get very interesting soon, some of the lows and waves are being spotted little further north over Africa. also you can star seeing both lower and upper level clouds going easterly on one half of the Atlantic and the other half going westerly.

I agree. Shear is going to drop of a lot in the Caribbean over the next week for starters.

I dread that it is going to be an early and long season    Let us at least hope it is a kind one.

Shear has already dropped significantly in the Carib. See for yourself:

I'll be in Florida between May 26th and June 4th. May be something (weak) will affect the area then.

But it looks like shear is now trying to increase in the area.

I am definately keeping my eyes on all waves this season. I just have a bad feeling this year...

There is a woman here that always does her predictions (based on spiritual vibes - not being mean, just her thing) about this time of year. She has said for the past recent years, there is going to be a big one and we have had nothing remarkable. This year she said, nope, no storms here this year. Everyone is doubling prep efforts now 8-)

Yeah, I think with all that happened the past two years with the gulf states and people not predicting it way ahead of time, I am thinking anything can happen.
