Avatar help... won't upload

#1 Postby MiamiensisWx » Fri May 19, 2006 7:35 pm

Help! I can't get my avatar to upload from my computer, even though I used Photoshop Elements to make sure it was less than 15 kilobytes! Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help?

I think it can only be loaded up from your computer/hard drive. no off site avatars. So you need to save it to your computer and upload it from there. Thats what I had to do, find another avatar I have saved on my computer that was less that 15KB, kinda hard they all seem to be bigger.

Opps:Edit I re-read your question and it sounds like you are doing everything right. Someone else can help I hope.

Make sure the size is smaller than 140 pixels wide by 200 pixels high.

It would help if you told us what the specific error was. :-) the board should give a different error if it's size or dimensions.

mf_dolphin I keep getting this message about the avatar from my computer when I try to post it in the "upload from your machine", It reads: " The avatar must be less than 140 pixels wide and 200 pixels high"

It is only 7.48KB (7,663 bytes) and it is only 95 pixles high by 150 pixles wide. What am I doing wrong.? This is the link where I got it from & I moved it to a file on my computer.

It appears that the size requirement is being meet. Youre help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I tried to upload an avatar I made that was around 10 kilobytes in size and was 100 inches (pixels) high and 95 inches (pixels) wide, yet it still didn't load and I got the same message as TampaFl, even though I did it all right. Why? Help!

Yup, I replied to your PM. It was way too big in kilobytes and in width.

If the avatar is hosted on a web site and it won't upload, paste a link in here and we'll take a look and tell you what's wrong with it.
