I have recently started dying my hair... naturally, its a medium shade of blonde, but I was ready for a change... I have had it bleached, I have had it dark brown with bleach streaks, i have had it red, I just did it a dark shade of red, kind of a burgendy color.. I think next time I go to have it done I am going back blonde... I dunno... so many colors, so little time.. oh yeah, I have also had it hot pink in the back of my hair, when it was short, the back flipped up and it was pink...

Did you go blond? That if you are origionally a brunette.
Did you ever dye your hair jet black or colored it blue, etc.?
How about a mohawk or shaved your head bald.
Me..... I just colored it different brown colors. I am somewhat conservative.
This thread has me laughing my heart out because I am just remembering those awful 80s hair that I had in high school that a can of hair spray used to hold my bangs up at least three feet high. Well it seemed that way.
Never went blond but when I was in ninth grade I put sun in and ended up with orange hair. Yes, it was a sight to see. Almost as bad as the 80s hair do that I had in high school.
Yes, I did dye it jet black and that wasn't too long ago. I thought it was dark brown but the color was actually jet black by the time I finished. My students thought it was funny.
No mohawk or shaved head for me!

Hrm... late 80's I was like a few years old,and had a mullet :S I guess it can be forgiven since it WAS the 80's... But after that when I was 15 (not too long ago
I had my hair bright red,but it has been (for the past few years) some-what what others call weird, had it black with red in,short back, long fringe almost 'devilock' (misfits) style, but not that short on the side, and not it's pretty much the same, black, ear level on sides, shortish back and long fringe

Well I DO remember these lyrics to a song very FEW could follow all the way through.....but I did.. 'specially the part that went something like:
... I Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for the buzzin' bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as I can grow with my Hair!
I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Mangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!
Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short
Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself
Okay... so it's SOMETHING close to that...

Well I do have my hair highlighted and have for many, many, many, many years.
These stories are wonderful.
When I was in high school back in the stone age, I put a brown rinse on my hair to brighten it up. It was in July right before the 4th of July parade. Now I was a majorette and at that time we wore light beige military style uniforms with HUGE big, tall, heavy fur hats!!!! As we were marching along the parade route I kept seeing these dark spots appear on the front of my uniform. More, and more and more dark spots till almost the entire top of my uniform was changing color right in front of my eyes. I kept a smile on my face and kept on marching - stepping high and proud. People were smiling back at me and I took it as a sign that they liked my performance. It wasn't until we finished the parade and a fellow majorette asked me what was all over me that I got the hint - hair dye and sweat do not make a good combination. My hair got wet under that big, bulky hat and dripped dark pigment all over my face and uniform!!!!! Not one of my better moments - but funny.
