The wife can't make it, but I can still come. In fact, a friend at work and his better half might want to make an appearance if that is ok with you guys.

I understand there are some relatively inexpensive hotels within walking distance of Bourbon Street. If anyone can help point me in the right direction either on here, via PM, or to Jack8631@msn.com, it would be much appreciated.

P.S...Why does the South Florida gathering get a sticky in the Talkin' Tropics forum, and the North Gulf Coast doesn't?

That's so cool you're coming! My wife and I are staying at the Warwick. It's not near Bourbon St., but it's one of the best deals we could find. It's near the Superdome. We're going to take a cab from there to Bourbon and back. Last weekend we stayed at the Bourbon Orleans. If you plan on getting any rest after partying, I do NOT recommend staying on Bourbon....VERY loud.

Because it was requested since it is a new gathering proposal. This is second round for these hearty partyers and has been ongoing and one of the more active threads here lately.

Bourbon and Canal shouldn't be bad at all. I don't believe there's any bars or clubs in close proximity to you. The closest I'd say is the House Of Blues and that's still about a block or a little less away. You will be staying near the Red Fish Grill where we had our last get together though!
