There is a very good reason that some life insurance companies don't write policies to sky divers. Unfortunately, many people never make the connection.

One of my college classmates died from a mid-air collision while she was sky-diving.

Wow... I've always wanted to skydive. Reading stories like that just scares me. Just gotta think that out of the thousands of skydivers only a few die per year.

I rather go water-tubing than sky-diving.

my cousin when he was 17 died this way - neither chute would open.
First time up - only practice they had was jumping off a loft in a barn before they went out. He had the world in front of him too -he was young and my uncle had died and wanted him to run his oil co. for him.

I'd never jump out of a perfectly good airplane. No way..no how.
I'd go on the scariest largest roller coaster...but I'd never bungee jump or sky dive.
When I plan on dying, I plan to go with a lot of people, not just by myself.

My daddy always told me that there wasn't but two things that fell out of the sky. Fools and Bird Crap!!
Guess he was on to something LOL
TIm

PS Don't mean to make light of the accident it is very sad about the girl but that is a high risk sport and sometimes it does not end well.
