Land isn't the problem. Systems like this and BOC systems (and storms like Allison and Grace) often develop close to land. The synoptic setup and environment/formation is crucial.

Looks interesting for sure...Epsilon formed 2 days before the end of the 2005 AHS (and Zeta formed 2 days before the end of 2005 :eek: )...could Alberto form 2 days before the start of the 2006 AHS?

I'll give it a day to either poof or spin.
