My mind is still going 90 miles/second. We didn't get enough answers. I want to know EVERYTHING! lol

If they were meant to crash on the island, how could it have been pre-determined that Desmond would accidentally not make it back into the hatch in time to push the button, assuming he really did cause the crash? If everyone on the plane is connected in some way and meant to be on that plane together and then crash on the island, I don't see how whoever (if there really is a who) knew that Desmond would miss pushing the buttons at the right time to cause the plane crash. And did his missing the numbers cause them to go off course or were they already off course and he just caused them to crash? Either way, I tend to agree with Garrett....there's probably another plane (or something) that landed during the freaky sky scene. We know that Oceanic Flight 815 crashed, we know that the plane Eko's brother was in crashed, and we know that at least one hot air balloon crashed (landed) there, plus what happened with Danielle and her gang, and maybe others I'm not thinking of off the top of my head. Who knows what else we still haven't discovered? But I bet something happened during last night's "incident"!

Another thing that I keep thinking about...if this is really some sort of experiment or test by Dharma or whoever, how can they allow so many people to be killed? What kind of company performs psychological experiments that keep people trapped in a hatch for years and allow others to die? And that's not even mentioning the bizarre ways to get them all there, if they did in fact orchestrate it all. It all kinda reminds me of some sort of covert government operation, with of course, no real explanation as to WHY.

-Still LOST!

I think Kelvin is her "dad", he looked familiar. And I thought he appeared in Sayid's past, as Sayid was released by the Army out in the desert.

Kelvin is Kate's legal dad, not her bio dad. She shares Kelvin's last name doesn't she? She thought her step-dad was just that, a step-father but it turned out that Kelvin raised Kate as his own but knowing the scum future step-dad was her bio dad. A bit confusing!

That's the way I remember it.

I think that's the way I remember it as well! I'm going to have to watch that episode again

Just found this, too:

The full cast listing for the finale yields some very interesting, and long rumored, information:

CIA Agent Inman, from the Sayid Centric episode "One Of Them", is indeed Kelvin. Now, the question this raises is this: (Hit continue for the spoilers)

Is Kelvin/Inman the mysterious HIM? It has been rumored for months that Clancey Brown was returning in the finale as Kelvin. Other accounts had him returning as the mysterious "him", of "are you him?" and "He is a great man." fame. Could both be true?

Does this mean my dream that Clancey Brown joins the cast of LOST as the featured baddie, has come true? Looks like we are going to find out!

That guy is just FREAKY. What's up with those clothes anyway? Wasn't he wearing normal clothing when Michael let him go?

News flash - we are ~still~ talking about the finale in our family. Well, 2 of our 4 members are. LOL The other two seem to politely tolerate the 'Lost' discussions......he he.

Laura keeps going online and reading the ABC Lost boards and telling me about new theories fans are coming up with. Seems fans are intrigued by the is it legit or not, Hanso Corp. I am too!

She had a very good point to make though - Laura thinks Walt will not leave that island w/o his belovd pet, Vincent. He will convince Michael to at least swing by their old camp for the dog. Along the way they'll see Sayid, Sun and Jin. Of course Sayid will be asking where Jack and the group are. From there either Michael will joins forces with Sayid, and realize he needs to redeem himself or keep boating past Sayid and get Vincent. But if the survivors see a boat pull up, anything could happen. I don't see how Michael and Walt could just leave with the dog. Many would be wanting off that island!

This show sure creeps into your thoughts doesn't it?

I keep wondering what the look meant between Kate and Jack.....

Good point about the dog Mary, I thought they (Kate and Jack) were fixin to jump over the side of the pier and go down fighting! Cause it seemed to me the first one that did it motioned toward the water.

Jump over the side? Wow, if so that will make for a very intense start to next season won't it? We should remember that Kate was already held captive by the Others and might remember clues that are important to survive another capture. For example, maybe the way they tie them up or when they put that hood over them. I don't know where I'm going with this but there could be a flashback to just before they were shot with the darts, in which we see the plan form. Although Sawyer didn't look like he was "in" on it. He looked a little.....lost. Sorry, that was such a bad pun! LOL But hey we're a little lost too.....

And that's why we love this show! It is funny though, go to work or a party and just merely ask a group - does anyone here watch Lost? Or ask - did you all catch that Lost finale? And then wait for the replies you will get. It's so fun to hear what other people are saying either way. You get - Yeah, love that show, or - oh no, I watched American Idol (as if we've never been clued into VCR's!) or - oh Lost, that show? No way, I can't watch something that scary (this was a recent comment, I just cracked up, scary? I don't know about that.....).

Well, anyway, just try it. It's funny to hear what non-Lost fans "think" they know what this show is about!

Just when you thought all the onslaught of Lost articles had subsided, here's another TV Guide one.....I love it! Haven't even read it yet though....click on the link for a picture of Henry Gale - creepy little fellow that he is.

BTW, fans on the IMDB Lost board are calling Henry "Fenry" now. Thought it was a typo at first but now it's a clever nickname for that character. I kept referring to him as faux Henry. I like Fenry better!

Okay, enough ramblings.....

Lost Finale Mysteries Revealed!
by Nerina Rammairone

"Henry Gale" and Lost's other Others: friends or foes?

ABC's Lost wouldn't be our favorite twisty-mystery series if the season-ender didn't bring up more questions than it answered. Here's our take on the most mind-bending moments from this year's finale.
The Others
They say they're "the good guys" — and we agree. We think "Henry Gale" and Co. are one-time Dharma Initiative members gone rogue. Now they are committed to stopping the Initiative's crazy testing and they need strong-willed Jack, Kate and Sawyer to help them.

The Dharma Initiative
So the Initiative — with all its testing in meteorology, psychology, parapsychology, zoology and electromagnetism — is evil? Hell, yeah. Polar bears in the tropics, a phoenix rising and human guinea pigs — this can't be good.

Widmore Laboratories
Remember that shadowy figure up in the window of the Swan station's Orientation Video? We think that's Charles Widmore — aka Alvar Hanso, the money (the maniac?) behind the Hanso Foundation and owner of Widmore Laboratories. The Widmore logo was seen on all the Dharma food, the real Henry Gale's balloon and even Sun's pregnancy test. Coincidence? We think not.

Desmond Hume
Mr. Widmore got Desmond away from his daughter in a big way. But Desmond's former love, Penny, apparently hasn't given up on finding her MIA globetrotter. Could she know what her evil dad is up to? Does she assume that by finding that electromagnetic anomaly, she will also find her Dickens-reading lost love? Bingo. (Side note: The novel Our Mutual Friend is about a man presumed dead at sea.)

Big Foot
We don't know what exactly to make of the four-toed statue remnant Sayid spied, although speculation has surfaced that there could be a connection to T.J. Bass' Half Past Human, a sci-fi novel about a civilization of superpeople with — you guessed it —four toes. Or maybe the oddity was just a nod to 1968's Planet of the Apes. Did anyone else hear Charlton Heston screaming, "Damn you all to hell!"?

It's been one week since we watched the finale. And are we less confused a week later - LOL! Just more but in a good way.

Last week at this time we thought the others were the bad guys. According to Henry, they're the good guys. Yeah sure, since he said it we're going to buy that.

We're not erasing the finale for a while. I'd like to watch it again soon, to miss clues we no doubt missed last week.

I feel your pain Garrett......if you're missing Lost, tune in tonight. They're airing Season 2's first episode. I might even watch. I'm sure the DVR is programmed to record! No other show can be taped during Lost's timeslot....nevuh! I got this info off the epguides.com site.

http://www.tv.com/lost/man-of-science-m ... mmary.html

Man of Science, Man of Faith

The second season starts where the survivors have left off with Jack, Locke and others going down the hatch and finding out what is under there. One of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle.

The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive on the island. But, as they have discovered during their forty-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even the most beloved heroes have secrets.

Lastly, Jin, Michael and Sawyer survive their boat attack from "the others" while Walt is still missing out at sea.

Scott Weinberg writes: "First we learn that "24" is planning to make the leap onto the silver screen, and now comes the (not very surprising) news that smash series "Lost" also has its sights set on life after network.

One of the "Lost" creators shared a quick little tease with PRInside: "The makers of LOST want to end the hit TV show after a maximum of five years and are planning a feature-length movie spin-off. Co-creator Damon Lindelof is so worried producers and studio executives will drag the show out he is making his opinion on the matter clear now. He says, "We'd love to end the show after four year, five years tops and do a movie."

Interesting Lost news Brent. I'm not in favor of TV shows being made into Movies though. I prefer the original (even movie remakes).

Watched the end of the first rerun last night. The survivors reunion on the beach is my favorite Lost moment. When Sun sees Jin. When Bernard sees Rose and she has that huge smile, when Michael runs up to Sun earlier in the garden......the entire episode is so good but I love that reunion on the beach. And I almost forgot, when Vincent runs up to Michael.

I did find myself missing Libby but not Ana Lucia. I never did like her character. We probably weren't meant to. Shame Libby was killed off though.

Intesting news Brent... It would be interesting to see if they "End" the show but, only to continue it when the movie comes out. It would be just like them to do so... However I have no problems with thier plan what so ever... I love that show.

I just saw that on TV Guide. And check out which housewife on Desp. Housewives they chose - Alfe Woodward! That's a safe choice, none of the other 5 (6 if you count Mary Alice), can be upset.

I'm sorry, but Matthew Fox needs to be nominated at some point! Or Josh Holloway! Maybe the cast of Lost is too big and they don't know where to cut it off?

Lost will have it's season premiere on October 4th, run for 6 weeks straight, then go on hiatus November 15th for about 2 1/2 months(no repeats, another show called "Day Break" will air in the slot). Should return in Late January or Early February.
