Important INFO as hurricane season nears
ARE YOU PREPARED?????????
Do you have water, batteries, food, map, radio, don't forget change of clothes, and incase ur stuck outside for long time sunscren might be useful.
If you are new to the state that is prone to hurricanes or need a refreshment here is the list to keep you and your family safe.
You need at least 3 days worth of supplies, and if a very bad storm comes you may need a weeks worth, *1 gallon of water per person*.
If you are in flood prone areas: sand, bags , and shovels will be very useful.
If ur not sure ur flood prone now is good time to check.
Protect your windows with boards or shutters, NOT TAPE.
Stay tune for the weather espessially if you're staying, these storms could produce tornadoes.
Don't forget about pets, SOME shelters/ hotels MAY NOT accept pets so make sure you can find a safe place for them.
Make sure you have friends and families that you can contact if your'e staying in the storm
Do not venture out in a storm unless it is an emergency
NOTE IF YOU NEED RESCUING, THE POLICE, FIRETRUCKS, ETC.. WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNTIL, THE WINDS DIE DOWN TO 55MPH OR CLOSE TO IT SO YOU ARE MAINLY ON YOUR OWN FOR SOME PERIOD OF TIME!
