I met Mike Watkins for a second time the first was in 2004 at the gathering down here. I finally met Mark Suddath and he was playing his videos of the 2004 and 2005 season. I had a good time and Mike and Mark are top notch people.

Oh, man, boca... I was there today and I didn't see you! I was asking if there were any other Storm2K members there (besides Mike Watkins and Sudduth) and I couldn't find any!

I had an AWESOME time there! I really enjoyed talking to Mike, Sudduth, and company. We really felt like friends. I told them what I have done to prepare for this season. I also talked about global warming, what the patterns may be like this season, and I watched the films Sudduth and his chasing team made (Tracking The Hurricanes 2004 and Tracking The Hurricanes 2005). Mike even gave me Tracking The Hurricanes 2005, compiled by Sudduth and his crew! The restaurant was great, too. Too bad not many other Storm2K members came.

It was really nice getting together today. It is really amazing how much we share in common and how much I share in common with Sudduth and Mike. Hope we can do this again if possible.

I really enjoyed seeing Boca again and meeting CapeVerdeWave for the first time (I thkn he has a big future in weather ahead of him)...thanks for coming out. I even met some very nice people who lurk here on the board but havent actually registered, as well as some nice folks who follow Mark's site as well.

Hopefully we can get everyone together sometime soon even if it is a different location.

But hey, you can't go wrong with a hurricane-themed resturant and good food as well. Even if we're not getting together I would highly recommend the venure...and perhaps we can get a live broadcast up and going from there sometime soon.

Sorry I couldn't make it - I work about 30 minutes from Boynton so it would be difficult to meet over lunch - I will try to make it to the next gathering....

The "official" post is over in the Announcements Forum, but a date, time, and place for the South Florida group has been set. Boca (Steve) has been the driving force here and deserves all the credit for putting this together......
