Unfortunately, for the most part, it fizzled. I did get to meet AFM and Katdaddy - two very nice guys. But the Conference was the only event at the Convention Center, which is huge, so all the restuarants, including the Starbucks where we met, were closed. I looked for some S2K caps & gear but didn't see any.

I sat a few seats away from Dr. Frank and that almost gave me goosbumps. AFM had the opportunity to speak with him after the presentations were finished.

I hope we can plan another Texas gathering - I'd like to meet some more of our members. I hear the NOLA gathering was loads of fun and something like that would be fine with me.

We definitely need something that is exclusively an S2K gathering, not a brief meet-and-greet following a larger event, although I hope there were others who were able to meet face-to-face, if even for just a moment.

that is definitely being thought of for sometime in the future. The biggest problem with a gathering like that is the travel involved for many and the need for a very interesting and vibrant program to attract many. We cna get it done, just not sure when. Probably would need a planning committee to take care of everything. Fabulous idea which we do want to bring to fruition. I figure this year, with at least 3 or four different gatherings is good practice. If we got enough committments early for something "nationwide" we could probably get a good rate somewhere.

In the meantime, let's thing about the hou/galv get-together. Why can't we get this done?!? :)
