Jeff Masters Flight into Hurricane Hugo...

#1 Postby CHRISTY » Mon Jun 05, 2006 2:50 pm

Iam really happy they added Jeff Masters personal blog to Storm2k.He's a great meteorologist!Tune in often to his blog because you'll always find great info in his blog...

PS!he's on vacation now,but he will be back soon.

And also its been a long while since ive read this from jeff masters,in this story he describes flying into hurricane HUGO at 1500 feet and there radar failed so the didnt know it was a CAT 5 until right before they were in the eyewall.

For those on STORM2K who have not read this Here's the link to the story...

Here's the link to the preflight story...

Dr. Masters is a favorite of mine. I discovered him after Katrina and I've followed his work ever since.

I don't know, I must be blind. I hardly ever go to any parts other than the forums, so I must just not know where to look.

I went to the home page and can't see anything about tropical update. I tried pasting "tropicalupdate" at the end of the url and that didn't find anything.

LOL.. Reality is they are 2 different sites.. They don't tell each other what to do with their sites and hence S2K has not include his blog yet. Just getting the facts straight so we don't confuse people.
