I think this link is working. Click on the Hurricane one. One is of Ivan and the other is of Katrina.

The Katrina one scares me. My town is over 100 miles from where Katrina made landfall and to think what her storm surge did here just makes the thoughts of what happen in LA and MS horrible.

It should work now.

wow, I'm glad I made this thread. Just make sure you all put personal pics from around your house and neighborhood, not local news pics. I want to get a personal look at how our storm 2k family has been affected. Great pics so far!

I stupidly was on my deck during Dennis with my camcorder. We had about 45 minutes of Cat 1 conditions and about 8-10 minutes of upper end Cat 2 to low end Cat 3 ( please no windspeed debates) as we got dead center of the eyewall. I filmed multiple large trees falling, watched unbelievable amounts of debris(shingles, limbs, neighbors toys, etc) fly by. Watched the top 30-40 feet of trees ripped off and thrown hundreds of feet. The most amazing thing I believe I have ever seen. I watched on my camcorder several times that night ( no power for tv) in amazement at how lucky I was to get the video. The next day I went out with the camcorder to video the damage to my house and property for the insurance company and...yep you guessed it...i recorded over it never to be seen again..still makes me want to puke!!!

I took this picture in New Orleans on the way to a friends wedding. This was nearly 8 months after Hurricane Katrina.

I had some debris pictures from Ivan (well not really debris; more like small/medium limbs and lots of leaves), but seem to have misplaced them. How about some surf pics from Isadore taken at Panama City Beach in 2002..

And this is what the southern part of my parish looked like after Hurricane Rita. Simply amazing what a hurricane can do from nearly 200 miles away. See why Terrebonne Parish is so vunerable?

And here is another from Terrebonne Parish. Just south of Houma. This is one from Hurricane Lili. Landfall was some 60 miles away to our west. We had max 60-70 mph wind if that, yet look what happened. The levee broke and the Gulf of Mexico is now in many homes.
